that was artemis shield construction and I can ot tell from the view if this is the 2 or the first that was created. It shows quite a few sensors which I am sure are still in the number 2 due to issues.

Thanks for your follow up on the image you found.
Perhaps we (or someone in NewMars) will find additional information about the heat shields.
GW is keeping watch for any news of the performance of the most recent heat shield. It only had to perform for six minutes, but those six minutes were doozies!

Thanks for those interesting and helpful pictures in the Heat Shield topic.
This one is mysterious ... what are we looking at? Surely that is not something ** inside ** the heat shield?

GW Johnson just wrote to say that the hex material you showed us looks about right be we have no idea what that was from!
Please see if you can find out where that came from.
The gun was NOT used for Artemis I or Artemis II, so what was it doing in the picture.

For SpaceNut re links to reports on studies of past water on Mars...
https://newmars.com/forums/viewtopic.ph … 53#p238853
Thank you for providing the links to those detailed reports on painstaking research.
We humans are fortunate to have a few individual members who are willing to dedicate their lives to studies like these.
And we are fortunate to have individuals willing to dedicate their lives to designing and deploying the sensor systems that delivered that data that revealed the history of water on Mars, in such detail, and to such an extent.
And this forum is fortunate to have members who will find and show such studies.

Thanks for your research to identify various asteroid opportunities!
These are the topics we have with in the unmanned missions that contain information related to Apophis.

Harvesting Asteroids - Economics and Practice of by tahanson43206
It is good to see that we have dedicated topics for various destinations. It is confusing for our readers to have asteroid missions all lumped together.
Your research shows that we have a topic for our members to concentrate on Bennu. I'm sure there is more knowledge we can accumulate there.
We certainly want to concentrate on Apophis because it has so much potential for great wealth if it is harvested, but also significant disaster potential if it is not dealt with.
Our topic on Harvesting Asteroids would appear to be available for our members to design and report on a variety of techniques, and not just one or two asteroids.
We (all of us) can help our readers by creating topics that accurately describe what the topic will be about.
And, at the same time, we (all of us) can help our topic creators by staying on topic and not creating posts that diverge greatly from the original author's intent.
This forum is in a rebuilding mode. We have the opportunity to bring in new members, while at the same time creating a culture that is attractive to younger folks.
Thanks again for your research on posts about asteroid missions!
