Re: The Real Mars

Another reflective rock showing Curiosity, (right) and the blue sky.

And the bottom image showing the NASA version, but either way, Mars has a blue sky.

Re: The Real Mars

Nothing much today, the usual curious alien.

Top reflective rock, shows Curiosity, and the lower one, (in the same image) shows this thing looking over a rock.

Same image, but different rocks. This could be the rovers turrent looking over a rock, but it looks polished or oval shape, either way not how the rovers turrent looks like.

y0eORnB.jpg
0551MR0022330410303874E01_D

And l don't think that this a life form, more like a silver, robot or devise of some kind.

More martian graffiti.

P,...S,F, and two alien drawings waving back, is all l can make out. No, surprise considering that they are a few rungs above us.

Kinda, hit the jackpot today. smile

RDFMhYw.jpg

Not sure about the white structure, but the other is obviously a bridge or tunnel of some kind for the river, (the curved opening and eye depiction is unmistakable). And the watch tower near this, is something l have seen a few times before.

I2wsnyj.jpg
0552ML0022340030204415E01_D

Next is more roads, and another car, (the structures tipped me off).

H9kBbhW.jpg
0552ML0022340010204413E01_D

Next is this? Oversized rock or building, hard to tell, but the striped, tube structure on the left, is certainly not natural.

1Ta3F6I.jpg
0552ML0022340000204412E01_D

And this,...a town in the distance, maybe, a rock pillar, maybe, and the thing on the right, that going by the shadow and giant support, is a freeway on a bridge with lights. smile

Either that or the dirt spans over the river, by itself, lol.

This could also be a giant pipe spanning over the river, considering the industrial type structures, further up.

Either way very unlikely to virtually impossible that this is natural, and Curiosity ignores it!

No, Viking's first results and images were accurate, (1977) and we have been lied to ever since.

Maybe NASA should be called NASAF?

Re: The Real Mars

Another pretty weird one.

tbgpLnT.jpg
0552ML0022340090204421E01_D

And clearly artificial.

This tower appears to be on a base, above the ground. And l don't consider this to be Curiosity's reflection as the background landscape is visible just below the tinted window.

Too hard to make out other structures around this, eventhough likely.

But yep, alien, artificial and Curiosity drives right past it.

lIZzv3z.jpg

Another likely water hole, most likely full of fresh water, and some artificial can of some kind nearby, (the pattern curves around the cylinder perfectly).

IzvCX0A.jpg
0552ML0022350000204431E01_D

More signs of water flow with the water carving out a trough in the dirt above, (virtually impossible for wind to do this) and traces of flow below.

Abx9Bvd.jpg
Same image as above one...

This shows s hint of something that l long suspected, Mars has sunsets like we do on Earth or red/orange/yellow sunsets.

The blue hills are in the distance, then Curiosity in the foreground, but the shadows on the rocks also show the sun is setting. And also show a yellow tinge on parts of the rover, (arrows) (see previous image, Curiosity does not have yellow coloration).

Yeah, NASA, maybe they should name their next mars rover, Coverup?

Ok, more structures, that Curiosity ignores.

WSWquNw.jpg
0552ML0022350050204436E01_D

The Gray Statue depiction is the most obvious, and too far away for it to be Curiosity.

Below the statue is water flowing out into a stream, (blue color, and glistening).

And behind this statue is more Alien depictions, striped neck, etc.

Interesting video especially what they say about the face on mars.

NASA went rampant with the Photoshop filters so the modern view of the face looks like rubble.

Eventhough the original image had substantial height.

Just finished a round with another forum about all of this, and let's just say l am glad it is over, and stupidity really is infinite.

Faces on Mars Images

1976_Viking_1_facesMars_toyvogue.jpg

The nasa attempt to debunk https://science.nasa.gov/science-news/s … st24may_1/

Viking 1 mission returned photos of the Martian surface in 1976, the image of a rocky face in the Cydonia region captured the public eye as it circled the red planet in search of a landing site for its sister ship, Viking 2, it snapped photos of Mars for engineers at NASA to study. On July 25, 1976, it captured the image of a pile of rocks that greatly resembled a human face. When NASA released the photograph almost a week later, they described it as a "huge rock formation in the center [of the photo], which resembled a human head."

Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter and the European Space Agency's Mars Express revealed that original analysis is an optical illusion revealed only as the light hits the surface and wells of the rocks at specific angles.

I like the possibility whether its real or not just get some boots on the surface and lets be sure.....

Re: The Real Mars

I've been looking at quite a few Mars anomaly pics recently... while most can be dismissed as  pareidolia there are a few which are more difficult to reject in that way.

I think my favourite is definitely the spider-crab in the recess.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/ … laims.html

I haven't seen a good explanation of this image, apart from it being possibly a fossil or real living creature.

"Face on Mars" has I think been debunked as an optical illusion from a pretty primitive resolution photo.

But the thing to remember is that the original one above had a lot of height, (quarter of a mile high l think) and recent images of the face show rubble considerably shorter than the face, or rubble, etc.

Which adds, credence to tampering.

Yes, interesting and has the hint of non-natural to it.

True, a lot of images, especially the Youtube ones, unfortunately do have a lot of this rock is an animal or this squarish rock is a brick.

I tend to be as concerning as possible.

Thankyou for your comment.

Re: The Real Mars

Face on Mars

In the 1970s, NASA was not permitted to send any more unmanned probes out of Earth orbit. So they wanted to glean all data they could from images from the two Viking orbiters. They wanted computer enhancement of the images they had, but back then they didn't have image enhancement software. So they went to the CIA. The CIA had software specifically written to look for human faces and geometric shapes. And they didn't send the images through just once; they took the output of this software and sent it through again. And again, and again. After sending the images through CIA software 5 times, the image of the "face on Mars" appeared. This isn't actually there, it's an artifact of CIA software designed specifically to look for human faces. And 5-sided pyramids are not there either, they're artifacts from the same CIA software. Lesson learned: don't trust the CIA.

Every orbiter NASA sent since then has taken maximum resolution images of the same areas: the "face" and the "pyramids". That's been done with MGS, Odyssey, and MRO. The result: they're just mountains. There's no face, there are no pyramids.

This is what the "face" actually looks like. No computer enhancement, it's just the raw image converted to JPG. Resolution is 2048x1532 but your browser will most likely reduce it. If you right-click "view image" you'll get full resolution. Or click the image for the NASA web page with images of Cydonia. This image was taken 2007-April-11 by the HiRISE camera on MRO.

Re: The Real Mars

Thanks Robert - haven't heard that explanation yet about the face-searching software.

Have you ever heard a non-anomalous explanation for the spider-crab image?

Re: The Real Mars

Ok, Robert good points, impossible to say if a technician goofed and made it look like rubble, or not.

Ok, did some searching and found that others have been sniffing about..

One person claimed to find a house, but it wasn't.

And this person found a pretty good image of Martain water or probably muddy or silty sludge.

Nasa image, sorry no number since this was taken from a video image, but it did come from Curiosity, so l will post the number if l come across it again.

And the true color one, so we can get a better look at it.

Re: The Real Mars

That does look like muddy water. If it was wind-blown dust you would expect streaks, slow taper of dust to rocky terrain. This has a level edge that looks like liquid settling in planetary gravity.

And you would expect dust and dirt to be over it also, good to know that we can get some decent images occasionally.

Unfortunately reflections, are too hard to see in this.

Sure, here is the one with the house, and a pretty good looking Egyptian vase, (the straight lines on the lid are pretty hard to dismiss).

And the one with the puddle, 2.54 in...

Unfortunately l have not come across these ones yet, so contacting the TY poster or dropping down the more information part is all l can offer.

Regarding the crab-spider thing...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKNLxirM7PA

Interesting to read the comments...even the sceptics seem hard pushed to come up with an explanation.

I agree with the comment that says of all the things photographed on Mars, this is the one seriously puzzling phenomenon that can't be argued away as "just a rock".
