#176 Re: Space Policy » What Would You Ask GOP 2008 Presidential Candidates? » 2007-11-23 01:48:47

Ok, thanks for the links.

Hmmm... Would delaying the program not cost money too? Standing army of workers and al that?

#177 Re: Space Policy » What Would You Ask GOP 2008 Presidential Candidates? » 2007-11-22 03:01:39

How do you know this is true? He cites no sources whatsoever....

:?

#178 Re: Terraformation » Terraforming techniques to combat global warming » 2007-11-20 01:11:43

Hi MarsRefresh,

welcome to the boards! big_smile

(We really could use a special place where people introduce themselves, Josh)

#180 Re: Life on Mars » (Non-)Official Life on Mars Poll - Does it exist? » 2007-11-13 07:04:27

That last post was simply wrong re: percentage of CO2

#181 Re: Terraformation » Terraforming on the Moon » 2007-11-12 02:20:41

Ah. Ok, I overlooked it.

Will read it this evening, if I have time to spare

#182 Re: Terraformation » Terraforming on the Moon » 2007-11-11 10:29:21

...But I can't find the paper sad

#183 Re: Meta New Mars » Children Growing Up On Mars » 2007-10-31 01:29:24

I split the topic... But now children growing up on Mars is nowhere to be found anymore  :?

Josh, do you have any idea where it went?

#184 Re: Meta New Mars » Spammer » 2007-10-27 11:06:09

It seems as if Lschl13 may be some sort of spammer.  They seem to need to propose ridiculous things, such as that you need an atmosphere to have gravity, and that mars can be terraformed in about 5 years, my extrapolation from what they said, with 250 kg of water and 50 kg of tree seeds.  Don't just delete their account, please, as they may just be mmisguided, but maybe try to get  them to see reason, or check their sources a little harder before posting with 'backup from nasa data'

I think he's either just misguided or maybe a 'troll' (people that post stuff they know themselves is wrong, just to stir up discussions and confusion etc.). No reason to ban him, as long as he keeps it civil (I know, the last reply wasn't exactly friendly, but let's wait and see...)

#185 Re: Meta New Mars » Spammer » 2007-10-27 11:03:26

Doktor hasn't posted anything, how can they be a spammer.

because I deleted his posts, he posted several drug related entries

#186 Re: Unmanned probes » Mars Exploration Rovers (MER) » 2007-10-18 13:13:45

Wow, now that's something new. Would 18% be enough to make ISRU worthwile taking this approach (okay, going offtopic)

#187 Re: Interplanetary transportation » What Would A Space Shuttle System Look Like If Built Today? » 2007-10-11 07:59:44

Shuttle looks the way it looks now, mainly due to cost. There were better designs, but they were more expensive. So is money at a limit in your what if... question?

#188 Re: Terraformation » Mirror Array on Mercury? » 2007-10-09 04:57:56

Split this thread because it went offtopic, the discussion about terraforming Neptune is under Terraforming Neptune

#190 Re: Human missions » Constellation (Cx) » 2007-10-02 00:38:00

The cost-plus-award-fee contract

Sigh.... So it'll be overly expensive

#191 Re: Meta New Mars » New Message Board Software » 2007-09-24 05:06:43

it is in the move list, I moved topics there recently.

#193 Re: Intelligent Alien Life » Important Discovery! » 2007-09-07 00:51:15

pictures, first you have to upload your picture to a service like imageshack or photobucket or flikr, then follow their instructions. It's a question of copy/pasting stuff.

if you want the pictures to be actually shown, you have to first click the (Img) button above your postentry, and then insert the adress you get then click (Img) again.

#194 Re: Meta New Mars » Font size during text entry » 2007-08-28 00:14:01

Hey, that's weird... You're doing it right but it doesn't work  :?  :?

#195 Re: Meta New Mars » Font size during text entry » 2007-08-27 06:11:18

hi there,

when you select the tab "font size" you get something like

(size=24)(/size)

but in square brackets. You have to type your text between those two groups like this:

(size=24) text here (/size)

1,2, 1,2... test TEST seems to work allright

#197 Re: Planetary transportation » Airplanes on Mars » 2007-08-19 04:19:25

Wow. Impressive anyone is actually testing thiis stuff

#198 Re: Not So Free Chat » Red Oasis » 2007-08-18 09:49:42

looks good. Already waiting for more  smile

#199 Re: Human missions » Burt Rutan » 2007-07-28 05:17:53

Millirons are hypocrites. They want to use hypergolics fer chrissakes, as if that is safe

#200 Re: Meta New Mars » Spammer » 2007-07-24 04:52:45

No need for that, Josh, you can ban him
