energy will be abundant.

Initially it won't be, far from it.

gaetanomarano,

It would be very helpful if you could post all your comments about Ares, Orion and other elements of Constellation here in future. The status topics for Orion, Ares I, Ares V and Altair are intended to keep readers up to date about developments, not for detailed discussion about alternatives. This way discussion can be focused on your suggestions and comments. The topic title now reflects this change.

Thank you.

Hear, hear. I come to those topic to see what's the news. Not for discussing alternatives. it just don't belong there, the topic are called STATUS, not Discuss

using magnifier glasses to see details on a monitor is not the way to do it.
You only magnify the hardware dots on the monitor, not the real image.

#163 Re: Meta New Mars » New logo and links! » 2008-02-27 13:08:55

Wow, great!  big_smile

I was scared: the last two days I got a 403: forbidden on this server when I tried to reach New Mars, for a moment I was afraid my isp was banned

Great job, Josh

#166 Re: Meta New Mars » Spammer » 2008-02-13 01:33:32

We don't ban people for posting 'alien-nonsense' we just ignore them.

After awhile they go away. (if you don't give them feedback)

#167 Re: Human missions » International Space Station (ISS / Alpha) » 2008-02-07 04:42:51

a 10" scope (about 10cms?) - has anyone used a BIG telescope for this type of imaging?

an inch is 2.54 cm, so it's 25.4 cm

As long as you don't vandalize anything, you're quite free to do with the wiki what you want (you're even encouraged to)

so go on, I'd say smile

#174 Re: Planetary transportation » All-Terrain Hex-Legged Extra-Terrestrial Explorer (ATHLETE) » 2007-12-04 04:56:47

Pretty cool design and capabilities.
Though I wonder how slow it really is, everything was fast motion video...

Still, lots of possibilities that thing  8)

#175 Re: Not So Free Chat » Terrorists invade US with Russian weapons » 2007-11-29 01:33:21

Most AK-47s are manufactured locally, not exported from Russia. AK's are very primitive weapons and every semi sophisticated metalshop can build them. That's why they're so popular.
