Can't go a day without taking a pot shot at Cindy. Big of you Clark, so typical of you Clark. Want to tell us why Cindy's such a thorn in your side? Lemme guess, you don't like girls, heh. And you want us to beleive paying 20 cent's an hour more PUNISHES people? You call it senseless justice? Justice can be senseless HOW? Speaking of senseless, looks like that's YOU. And you know what? I don't think it matters how much women demand equal pay for equal work. You can say white men get paid fair, because they demand it. Nope, cause its about race & gender, twit. White men get paid fair because they conquerd this land. If women demand anythingthey get called bitches, dykes, FemiNazi's. The people at the top of the heap WON'T LET anyone else climb up. Duh. But we know you like to side with unfair & assinine viewpoint's, because that's what you are. Heh.
[And if the business world suddenly tomorrow started paying men 20 cents per hour, on average, less than women (shoe on the other foot) you two would simply accept it? Like hell you would. I wouldn't -- I'd fight for your right to equal pay for equal work.
--Cindy
Nope.
Only fools & Liar's would say yes. I read your post's on this very carefully Cindy. Your not like most women about this, I think your fair & reasonible about it.
And I didn't think before about how kid's with 1-parent homes, just the mom working, will have less cause she makes less, than a 1-parent home with the dad. So yeah it can effect boys in the 1-parent home. And yea, some day I want my wife to make the kind of greenback's the guy's in the office make. That's more $$$ for us both. Only idiots wouldn't care.
And no matter what you tell 1 of the guy's here & how you tell him, it'll do no good. Your a woman, he see's you as inferior to him, he said it himself in so many words, & he just lives to trash everything you say. Just ignore him,, I think you already are.

Cal, who's that? I don't remember anybody denying a war was going to happen.
ON JANUARY 1, 2003, AltToWar WROTE:
I bet you $100 that we go to war mid febuary at the latest, no matter what the UN says.
ON JANUARY 2, 2003, CalTech2010 WROTE:
And let's keep that bet at $20 Alt... just to remain friendly.
All of the information quoted above in on Page 26 of the chat thread President Bush.
I would like my payment in unmarked $1 bills, thank you.
Of course the US is at war with Iraq-- Dubya wants the oil. You can be so gung-ho & glib about it, like it's just a game, since its not YOUR butt on the line, over there. Let's see how excited your gonna be about the Iraq war when we start getting pay-back by p.o.'d Arabs for it. Hey, if there's more war like this when your 18, are you gonna join the military & serve? Your so geared for everyone else to get shot at, blown away. Let's see you WALK THE TALK. I'd love it. People getting killed right now, its all a money game to you. Pathetic.
Good article - exactlywhat I think. Abandon the shuttle and the ISS and do something exciting.
But if we nix all of em, who's gonna take care of Hubble or satelites, when they need up-grades, or repair's?? We better keep 1 shuttle.
That t.v. show about black holes you told us about, Cindy, really cool. It'll be on again, I'll try to watch it. You get the Sky & Telescope new's letter right? That's where you got the 2 last links? I might subscribe.
Jupiter's northern lights & Great Dark Spot, great. So Jupiter can make its own northern lights, wow. I'm learning alot. Thanx. I think you're awesome Cindy

Yes, the focus should be talking about Mars, but let's not restrict ourselves to just that realm.
Oh, ha ha ha. When's the last time you posted ANYTHING about Mars? You only exist here to talk politics & music, stuff like that. Mostly politics. You care about Mars? Heh, prove it.

Clark: heard of them haven't ya?
*Why this attitude? ::shrugs::
What attitude is there in a straightforward question? Why so defensive?
Wow you are such a bullsh!tter. She wasn't being defensive. And you weren't being straight-forward, you were just trying to be offensive. She was nicer to you than you deserved, you idiot.

Hey Clark, why don't you just handcuff Cindy, drag her into a dark cop shop interragation room, shine a flashlight in her eyes & ask all those question's again, except this time YOU GET TO SCREAM THEM AT HER!!
Oh and hey--Do you get out much? Quit raining on people's parades. Twit.

I just went to an anti-war protest near my grandma's house in New Mexico. I decided it was a good time to write a story for the school newspaper.
Cal: Do you think Iraq has made an honest effort to disarm?
Woman: No. I think he has weapons, but that's not the issue.
Cal: On November 8, the Security Council passed a resolution that if Iraq did not declare its weapons and disarm WMD's, then there would be 'severe consequences'. Now that Dr. Blix's report shows that Iraq did not claim all of its weapons, and made efforts to conceal weapons, is it not the Security Council's, including France, Russia, and China, duty to enforce the resolution and impose 'severe consequences'.
The woman in Cal's little story here probably only exists between his ears.
#37 Re: Not So Free Chat » Rember the 80's - Whats your favorte 80's music band. » 2003-02-15 10:07:54
Not my generation. Better wait until the early 90's is our topic of reminiscing. :;):
The early 90's was your generation Cal? What, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Crayolas & Kindergarten? You are such a nerd. You're only 14, you were just being potty trained in the early 90's. Quit trying to come off like you're 25 or something, you only make yourself look stupid. You must have a really bad inferiority complex or something. Get real. Your generation is now, being a teenager, like me.

Yes, alcohol poses a threat, but because society has had 4000 years to adjust to it, most people are responsible with their drinking. It is the handful of irresponsible individuals that abuse it that give the bad name.
The same DOESN'T go for marijuana use. I agree with clark; the point of drugs is to get f___ed-up, whereas most drinkers' sole intent isn't to get swanked.
Lol! Cal sure is good for comedy relief. Hey Cal: Ever heard of ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS? Or MOTHER'S AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING? Or DESIGNATED DRIVERS? You know, for all those people who get swanked on BOOZE? Booze as in ALCOHOL?You're full of baloney kiddo. Why don't you THINK before you TYPE. You might not look so f___ing stupid that way. But I suppose you're just parroting your daddy or preacher, or both.
#40 Re: Not So Free Chat » North Korea - Well, someone had to start. . . » 2003-01-08 15:56:54
nobody said there would be an invasion...
It's not WHAT you say but what Cal THINKS you said. And if he thinks you said it, you said it. Judge, jury, executioner.
#41 Re: Not So Free Chat » North Korea - Well, someone had to start. . . » 2003-01-08 15:53:18
Hey clark! You might as well pay up the $5 for the concessions treaty. The Bush administration has promised NOT to us concessions as a bargaining chip. And the US says it doesn't want to fight with the North Koreans. Good thing for me we didn't have any bets about the invasion being a bluff (oh, that's right... I've been telling you guys that all along)
Lol! How silly.
#42 Re: Civilization and Culture » Martian Kibbutzim - Benefits of the kibbutz model on Mars » 2003-01-08 15:34:23
Social groups have lots and lots of methods for enforcing conformity that are utterly unspoken and unwritten - many times those "enforcing" conformity are not even consciously aware of what they are doing.
And those are the first one's to squeal on & on about individualism and free will, be your own person....like they are the epitome of those things or something. Hypocrites.
#43 Re: Civilization and Culture » Martian Kibbutzim - Benefits of the kibbutz model on Mars » 2003-01-08 15:30:35
Let me throw the proverbial moneky wrench into this scenerio:
Will people be able to, or would it be practical, to allow parents the choice of opting out the kibbituz program?
*If it were agreed upon beforehand by the majority that such a system would be in place, though an option for "outing" was officially available, opting out would still be severely frowned upon...and those opting out would face the chance of social ostracization as a result.
So Clark raises a really good point. What social repercussions would result for Marsians opting out of this or that, if various systems are set up and attempted to be enforced?
Well Clark & Cindy have some good points here. Since there's no such thing as true social freedom.......well future colonists or settlers, whatever, better think it through. Cindy I'm surprised you could still be even a bit pro-social after that experience.
Or any-one else for that matter.
#44 Re: Not So Free Chat » I herd there gonna start drafting - the draft » 2003-01-07 08:15:45
And Cindy pretty much called me a chauvanist pig who got .24 cents more than her because I have a penis. I rest my case.
*No, I didn't.
I don't hold you personally responsible for the unfair wage discrepancy in U.S. society.
You have the unfortunate knack of taking ::personally:: posted material which isn't directed at you, but rather is stated in general.
You took as a personal insult a socioeconomic ::fact:: in our society that I pointed out. However you respond to/interpret the statements of others is your responsibility/problem.
I believe I've been fair in my statements...unlike you.
--Cindy
Nice reply Cindy. Nicer than he deserved.
Cal, quit lying about what people say here. You twist around what people say to make yourself look like your being picked on or persecuted. Liar. Trying to be reasonable with you is tantamount to tossing pearls before swine. Loser.
#45 Re: Not So Free Chat » I herd there gonna start drafting - the draft » 2003-01-07 08:10:51
I don't get it. I was raised as a tolerant, sensitive 90's guy, and I still get labeled with the KKK racist-white-bigot stereotype. What the hell? The next (and last) generation of white men are respectful towards women and treat them as equals, treat all races fairly, and encourage minorities, and we still get this kind of crap. Can someone tell me where I can get my skin-pigment changed?
Oh boo hoo hoo WAAAAAAH! Big cry baby. You're twisting around what everyone's been saying here to make yourself look like some kind of frickin martyr. You weren't even a guy in the 90s, just a little kid, STILL a little kid. Why the hell would you want to get your skin color changed, if you can't even handle being white? Too bad someone can't make you black or female for a few days, it might be a good wake up call to another wise sickeningly arrogant, loud-mouth punk (YOU). Peel me a frickin onion already, so I can cry for you.

#47 Re: Not So Free Chat » President Bush - about bush » 2002-12-05 16:49:54
No, we shouldn't invade Cuba because they don't support terrorists and they don't have a nuclear bomb.
And I do know how WWI started, and that won't happen because everyone will know who assassinated Iraqi leaders, they'll just turn a blind eye.
And as for the trash talk? It was you, PaganToris, who came in here telling me to keep my mouth shut for no good reason. You started it, and I'll finish it. I just wanted to talk politics with people I respect and I got slapped in the face by some kid I've never even met before and never want to talk to again. And AltToWar, you just think he's funny because I'm a conseervative. Nice call. ???
I won't be coming back to this message board for a while, so I'll leave you with my closing remarks:
1.) We are sending UN inspectors to Baghdad to prove or disprove our reasonable theories that Iraq has nuclear weapons.
2.) If we find weapons, we'll invade; if we don't, we'll move on to North Korea. Iraq is different from North Korea because of the proximity to China, and their threat to South Korea, Japan, and troops in the DMZ.
3.) The call to the UN by the President was a symbollic deed. The US doesn't need the international community to fight this dicator, but it makes us feel like we've consulted someone on the matter.
4.) I favor the use of assassinations, because they save our troops lives, they minimize Iraqi civilian loses, and they remove only the leaders that we and the Iraqi people hate.
5.) The nuclear weapon was one of the greatest inventions of the 20th century. How many times did the possession of 1weapon keep so many wars from starting? How many times did it prevent the US and Russia from going into a war?
6.) The movement of troops into the middle east was done to keep Saddam from interfering with inspectors and making our presence known in the region.
7.) We must disarm Saddam to protect the Israelis from a SCUD nuclear missile, and to protect many western countries from having a nuclear weapons used by terrorists inside of their borders. If Americans don't stop this threat, who will?
8.) The US isn't in this for oil. If any energy benefits come of this, they are just that: a side benefit. We are in this to protect our borders and our interests overseas.
I have been harrassed, threatened, and degraded for holding these beliefs. I was just a 14 year old kid trying to defend my point of view in front of the world, and I think I did a pretty good job. However, I've grown tired of PaganToris' hate mail, and ecrasez_l_infame's assaults on Mr. Bush's personal life. Thank you, Clark, for being, in my mind, the only gentleman in this debate.

You may have gotten rid of me for now, but I will return...
Blah blah blah blah. Your an arrogant punk who's not even old enough to vote by about 4 years. Give me a break. For a while there, I thought you were pretty cool & with it for a kid your age, but now it looks like you've gotten hoisted by your own petard. Cindy hasn't been attacking Bush's PERSONAL life, just commenting on his politics (this is America, we have that right, comprehende?), and she's not the only person here with negative things to say about Pres. Bush. Your just as quick & happy to trade insults with Pagan Toris (never mind who started it), etc etc. And SO WHAT if someone has something bad to say about Pres Bush, ever heard of free speech & free expression? I don't like the SOB either. See that? SOB: That's what Pres Bush is in my books. What have you got to say about that CalTech? Ooooo.......I'm hanging onto the edge of my chair just waiting for your reply! Not likely.
#48 Re: Not So Free Chat » President Bush - about bush » 2002-12-03 17:36:51
Murder is not a part of war. Death is, but not murder.
We don't kill prisoners of war, why? Becuase to do so is murder.
So murder's not a part of war? Are you serious?
What about the women & children in the VietNam villages, mowed down like grass by U.S. soldier's? Yep, I'm U.S., so to let you know I'm not just U.S. bashing. Defense-less villagers, civilians, killed by armed & trained soldiers......that, buddy, is MURDER.
Then there's Hiroshema & Nagasaki. Look at all the defense-less civilians who lost there lives from those 2 bombs! Your gonna tell me that wasn't murder?? Like hell it wasn't.
There's no murder in war? Lol, lol. Tell me another lie! Sure, and no rape in war either! You are sadly MIS-informed pal.

Well, I know not everyone here's a U.S. citizen, but I'd like to know what other American's here think about yesterday's election results. Anyone here surprised Jeb Bush got Governor of Florida again?? Or that the Republicans made the sweep? Did the people you vote for win? I vote "independent" in case your wondering. I wish the Democrat's were the majority, but look's like that aint' the case...............................
