Pro-Natalism may come to some who don't have it, should humanoid robots take some of the load of child care, I think. Also, I think that society may change its mind. It may not persist that women will think themselves superior to tradition, by trying to be boss ladies without children.
There are two bazar insanities in the human race that help them to persist.
1) Women doing stuff that will cause them to become infected with another human which will burst out of their gut package painfully. They technically are crazy to let men infect them, but they do of course, as only people with such insanity have genes that persist.
2) Men that have an urge to play with the female parts. Not quite as insane, if you can get away with being irresponsible, and con other people into raising your children for you.
That is to coo-coo men. Perhaps if they have unusual traits such as being good in battle this is good for a tribe. But their selfishness displaces other capable men from the gene pool.
As for "decent" men who willingly take responsibility for their "Brood", this is similar to the woman, as it is a form of insanity, to perpetuate the genes.
Those are cold-blooded analysis. I don't actually mock those who behave with honor in procreations. But logically it is a futile activity as we know that eventually there will be no human race as we might recognize it.
But we may like it when the music plays, so why not have the music play in that case?
The society we had before which encouraged procreation, may have perpetuated maladaptive individuals who did not actually enjoy the full completion of successful precreation. (Producing useful adults).
The surviving populations later should be full of insane people who want to sing the song of procreations, therefore.
Since we are here it seems like what makes sense to me, even though I have not.

Calliban,
I'm after proximal solutions to our problems. I don't need the obvious problems pointed out to me, because they are so obvious that I already know what those underlying problems are and I know that they need to be addressed. Rather than continuing to dither while whining about the problems, I want to aggressively pursue workable solutions. I don't want any country to fail, least of all the country I live in, but that's exactly where we're headed if we keep doing what we've been doing.
I do not delight in the problems and sorrows of others, either. However, I do not fixate on the problems of others when I have so many problems of my own to work through. Furthermore, I do not see any point to complaining. I only care about solutions, and whether or not what is proposed approximates a workable solution. We've spent the past 20 years and 5 to 10 trillion dollars pursuing photovoltaics and wind turbines, which have thus far failed to do more than merely add a couple of percentage points to our overall energy mix. Since that has failed to live up to its promises, it's on to the next potential solution.
We've extensively evaluated the major technical points, merits, and demerits of various "new energy" alternatives that we require to lead us back to prosperity. I think we should push hard for those solutions while everyone is trying to figure out what's next, because they will continue to serve us and our children.

Let me put this in even simpler terms that maybe everyone can understand.
What happens to the rest of the global economy if the US collapses under the weight of all the debt we're accumulating through this toxic combination of massive trade deficits, insane money printing that's not backed by organic economic growth which would warrant increasing the M1 money supply, spending policies that are counter-productive at best, and unsustainable entitlements?
The problem isn't the taxes. We're already taxed to death. The problem is that our government keeps spending money it doesn't have by writing an ever-growing stack of IOUs, which we cannot possibly pay. Their spending policies make the rich ever-richer and the poor ever-poorer. Rather than investing in the local economy, most of the rich people find every possible way to send our money and jobs overseas. We're not stupid, we know quite well what they're doing to us, but since they can and do buy off our politicians from both parties to formulate policies intended to relegate the rest of us to serfdom, we could not find anyone at all to represent our interests until President Trump was elected.
If American citizens spent their personal money like the US federal government spends everyone's money:
The Biden administration's addition to the US debt (the equivalent of 2 centuries worth of debt in only 4 years):
These people never met a dollar they didn't want to spend, and their pens are writing cheques we can't cash:
Defense spending vs every other form of government spending:
The interest on debt payments is 11% of the entire federal budget.
Spending on defense and every other discretionary program is 13% of the entire federal budget.
Spending on entitlements is now 68% of the entire federal budget.
We could cut defense spending to zero and it would have no effect whatsoever on our government's spending problem. They'd make absolutely certain that all of the defense spending was both retained and even increased by the very next day, it would merely go to some other idiotic idea.
How much do you figure other countries will be able to sell to Americans who can no longer afford to pay for necessities and a government that's either defaulting on its debt or making its currency even more worthless than it already is?
Who else are you going to start trading with, and why not do that right now?
If the Russians or Chinese decide they want a piece of your country for themselves, who is going to stop them?
Everyone else is talking a good game about defense spending while not actually making the required investements into their own defense.
In many western nations, the local population is aging out. It's becoming an old folks home. Old folks are not going to drive consumption-led organic economic growth.
If America collapses, then what?
What's your end game?

The Fulcrum - Business Democracy - Just the Facts: Canadian Tariffs
Before President Trump took office, what tariffs did Canada impose on U.S. goods, and what percentages were there on various products exported to the US?
Before January 1st, Canada had tariffs on certain U.S. products, primarily in sectors protected under its supply management system. These included:
Dairy Products: Tariffs ranged from 200% to 300% on items like milk, cheese, and butter to protect Canadian dairy farmers.
Poultry and Eggs: Similar high tariffs were applied to chicken, turkey, and eggs.
Grain Products: Some grains faced tariffs, though these were generally lower than those on dairy and poultry.
That's a lie and you know it. I already posted this, I'll repeat. Watch it.
YouTube video from CBC News: Is Trump right about Canada charging 250% tariffs? | About That
12 minute, 55 second video. Very clear and simple. Canada bought so much dairy from the US, only Mexico bought more. Canada bought US$1.14 billion last year. Yet, not a single dollar was paid in tariff. Not one penny.

RobertDyck,
World Trade Organization - Canada Part A.1 Tariffs and imports - 2022 to 2023
The World Trade Organization's records are a more trustworthy source for information on Canadian tariffs / import duties applied than the CBC or you. If you don't like those facts, then tell your leadership to start changing them.

Robert, it has occurred to me that in the long run Canada and Mexico, may prosper along with the USA, if we end up with a sort of common Tariff system to countries external to North America.
But Canada kind of failed the pinch test didn't they. Mexico did better with it.

Canada needs to confront its demographic problems, like most other high income countries. Their finances will continue deteriorating until they do. Without a healthy demographic structure, there just isn't a big enough internal market to support domestic industry. Canadians need to have more kids. That also applies to pretty much every other country with good living standards. Elon Musk understands this. Hopefully, he can raise awareness of the problem. The solution set is limited and rather tough.

I think that the family unit was shorted of resources, such as time, to produce wealth, but the wealth was wasted on unwise things. Among those would be wars for the sake of having wars.
I think that there is a classic situation is where someone in charge of something with insufficient talent resorts to shorting the needs for production of a profit.
For instance, we could dream of making cows so tough that they could eat rocks and still produce the farm products desired. Many people in charge think that by applying cruelty, they can show just how powerful and smart they are.
In my working life I have encountered lots of unusual characters. I had one who was a male, and he claimed that a feminine product for sale, burned out the nerve endings that are important for sexual enjoyment for a female. The case he cited, was of a Vietnamese female who came here, and discovered that that product did that. The ending of its use reversed the problem.
Now I don't know how true that was. I could have been. But for the upper classes of some types there could be money, in causing damage to the relationships between female/male pairing for the purpose of family forming. The incentive to do that is much like causing a drug addiction. But in this case, you first cripple the relationship, and then you sell products which claim to be a remedy for the problem of non-functional binary relationships.
A feature of that would be to hypnotize the population to believe that some subset of people had a history of a behavior that was bad. Of course, here I am referring to men/boys are bad. While it can certainly be true, the constant re-enforcement of the claim, then helps reduce success in family establishment and maintenance.
Maybe some psychopath, decided, that it would be great to pull the female out of a family and have her work 60 hours a week to live alone with cats.
In any case by blunder or evil, families are time starved. A couple of robots in the family unit may help that.
We could have discussions of speculation on why there are no marsupial, humanoids, as I think the Placental process may set some things up that lead to us, but maybe we need another topic for that.
Have I annoyed the board? I can certainly modify my behaviors.

That is true, but there are several complications. There is broad cultural support for LBGTQ. But that is a natural feature of our species. Naturally 2% to 3% are LBGTQ. The "T" is relatively new when viewed over thousands of years. The purpose is to limit population growth: when there is the perception of overpopulation, more people become LBGTQ. Two gay men cannot have children because neither have a womb. Two lesbians cannot, unless one cheats with a man. Transsexuals cannot period because they have their gonads cut off: testicles or womb/ovaries. In the 1960s, LBGTQ people were locked up in a mental institution until they could prove to a doctor there were straight. That's so wrong, I don't know how to describe it. But now LBGTQ is celebrated, and some schools treat them as celebrities. That's also wrong. We need tolerance, but mainstream media is designed to promote and sell something, they've been "selling" homosexuality. I've heard lesbians and gays claim no one is trying to recruit, but at a bar I was approached by one woman who bragged to her friend that she converted straight women to become bi. The guy I was with looked at me as if to say that woman was trying to hit on me. I didn't turn around, just said that I don't date lesbians. If they want other women, I don't have what they want. That woman went away, but this demonstrates there are efforts to recruit. Schools teaching sexuality to kindergarten are grooming. Liberals don't want to accept this, but we need to back off. LBGTQ should not be normalized, it must be treated as something to be tolerated but not normal.
I've heard young people, especially those from southern California, claim the proportion of LBGTQ is greater than 10%. If that's so, then we have a major problem. That is a deliberate effort to reduce birth rate. Reducing birth rate is what LBGTQ is for.
We don't have an overpopulation problem. For those in the US, try taking a road trip in the lower 48 states, west of the 98th line of longitude, and at least 30 miles away from the Pacific coast. That area is roughly half the land area of the lower 48, yet is very sparsely populated. So get out of the large crowded cities and see what the rest of country is like.
For those in Canada, get away from the greater metropolitan areas of Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. I live in Winnipeg, a big beautiful city surrounded by miles and miles of nothing but miles and miles. (old slogan) The city has experienced a population boom since Trudeau's massive immigration push. Population is now well over 900,000. This summer will probably reach 1 million. But outside the city is forest and farms. The second largest city in the province is Brandon, about a 2.5 hour drive from here. Brandon has a population of about 51,000 (2021 census). The closest cities with a population over 300,000 are Calgary (14 hour drive), or Minneapolis (8 hour drive). If you list cities over 150,000 people, Regina has greatly expanded in recent years to 282,000 (6 hour drive).
Some people claimed we won't be able to feed the population, but population growth has practically stopped world-wide, and food production is enough to feed everyone. If there's hunger, that means people are too poor to buy food. That isn't a food production problem, it's a poverty problem. And food production technology is continuing to improve. The planet will continue to produce even more food, even though the population has plateaued.
Another issue is a book by Dr. Sarah E. Hill, Ph.D. She's a psychologist who specializes in how hormones affect women's brains. She found the high estrogen during ovulation causes growth of new white matter in the brain, and dendritic spikes of nerve cells infiltrate the new white matter. When estrogen subsides, the dendritic spikes retract. She believes this is required for an adolescent girl to mature to become an adult woman. But hormonal birth control prevents the high level of estrogen required for ovulation. That also prevents maturation of a girl's brain. To put it bluntly, this makes me wonder if this is one reason for rise of homosexuality and bi-sexuality in girls. And is this one reason for rise in promiscuity of young women. Dr. Hill said once a woman is 18 years old or older, the negative effects of hormonal birth control can be undone simply by stop taking the pill. Banning use of hormonal birth control for girls under age 18 could be a political issue. Hormonal birth control includes the pill, implant, NuvaRing, and one brand of IUD. Adolescent girls could still use condoms, female condoms, diaphragm, or contraceptive sponge with spermicide. A copper IUD has other dangers; one woman said it shouldn't be used until a woman has given birth to her first baby.

But a major factor limiting young people having children is housing. People tend to not have children unless they living in a home with a yard. An efficiency apartment just doesn't have room for children. So that means stop building high-rise buildings with tiny apartments, and instead build houses with a yard. And those houses must be affordable. Affordability is a major issue here.
I mentioned 3 cities in Canada with overcrowding. The rest of the country is pretty much vacant. One issue is southern Ontario has a climate able to grow certain fruits and vegetables that cannot grow elsewhere in Canada. The Okanagan Valley in BC can grow them, but that's it. Southern Ontario is south of the 49th parallel. There is a "green belt" that is supposed to be reserved for food production and wildlife. Some people want to free that for housing, industrial, and other city development. That's wrong, we need to reserve land in southern Ontario for agriculture. That means convincing people in Southern Ontario to get out. Get out of that part of the country, move to where it's colder. Temperature isn't that much colder; I lived in Toronto for 3 years.
I did suggest a new town constructed outside the green belt, where land is completely unsuitable for any form of agriculture. There is land northwest of the city of Orillia. I suggested a town with no front street, just a back lane. No private vehicles allowed inside the town. A parkade (multi-level parking structure) built on the edge of the town. With a subway tunnel beneath the back lane, with taxi size rail cars, computer driven. Software to drive a vehicle is a lot simpler on rails, and in a tunnel where people are not allowed to walk. A "subway station" the size of a single car garage underground at every house, with a door connected to the basement. Where the front street or bay would go, there would be land allocated, but with trees and grass, and just a single walkway the size of a sidewalk down the centre. I suggest making it like Wildwood Park in Winnipeg. But while Wildwood allows cars in the back lane, this town would not. Moving trucks, construction vehicles, etc would use the back lane. It would be safe for children, because practically no surface vehicles. A small mall with a grocery store within walking distance, connected to the rail system. An automated rail truck could deliver a shipping container to the store: 20', 40', or 53'. A rail "highway" would connect this town to the subway system of Toronto. Rail taxis could connect bumper-to-bumper to form a convoy. The convoy would drive at high speed along the highway: 200 to 300 km/h. Let engineers work out detail. The convoy would merge with subway trains, let passengers off at an existing subway station. A smartphone app could call a rail taxi. If you want pickup at a Toronto subway station, you would have to keep the smartphone app open while you wait. The taxi would stop for you very briefly, then move on so it doesn't block subway trains. The app would identify which taxi is for you, and the taxi would verify you via the app on your smartphone. So for those who work in an office tower in downtown Toronto, a taxi would pick them up in the morning at their house, drop them off at the subway station closest to work.

I posted the "Jake Broe" video to that group with a large number of MAGA people. Some people there agree with me. I write a summary of the video for those who don't want to watch it. The video is about half an hour long, 36:52 this time. Jake Broe is focused on the war in Ukraine. I post to a men's channel, but there are some who are American isolationists, who don't want to get involved with foreign wars. Others are completely taken-in by Russian propaganda, believing every lie that Russian agents post. Others are more reasonable. I post because those who believe the propaganda are truly disturbing; they need to learn what's really going on.
I could post a link to the video. I could repost my summary here. Or just drop it. Do you guys want to see?

GW recently told me that the number of leftists who condone violence, or will act out in violent ways, is a small minority of radical leftists. I found his belief somewhat humorous, but clearly a majority of self-identified leftists disagree with him. Like so many people who have limited interaction with others, they're in denial about what those "other leftists" actually believe.
New survey reveals disturbing trend in support of political violence
WASHINGTON (TNND) — A new report from the Network Contagion Research Institute reveals a disturbing trend in support of political violence. Researchers found a significant number of Americans who identify as 'left of center' support deadly violence against President Trump and Elon Musk.
...
To assess support for political violence, all 1,264 U.S. residents surveyed by NCRI were asked to classify their political ideology. The survey defined 'left of center' as those who chose far left, liberal, and slightly liberal. The results among that group reveal that "assassination culture" appears to be emerging."A lot of folks on the left are probably feeling a sense of hopelessness or despair following the election loss," said Schwartz.
Some 38% of the total respondents said it would be "somewhat justified" to murder President Trump, while 31% said the same about Elon Musk. However, for those self-identifying in that group who were more left-leaning, those numbers grew to 48% and 55%, respectively.
...
The survey also looked at support for destroying Tesla dealerships, with 39% of all respondents saying it's partially acceptable and 57% of those left of center saying the same thing.
Survey Results
To assess support for political violence, we surveyed 1264 U.S. residents, balanced to reflect Census data on race/ethnicity, gender, age, and education.4 Respondents were asked demographic information, political identity, several political and psychological scales, and questions concerning their acceptance of specific forms of political violence. A score of 1 meant that the respondent considered political violence completely unjustified. Scores from 2 to 7 indicated that they believed there was at least some justification for political violence, and, in the case of those choosing 7, that it was completely justified.
The survey revealed several troubling trends. Over half of those who self-identified as left of center (55.2%) reported that if someone murdered Donald Trump, they would be at least somewhat justified (see Figure 1; similar proportions supported murdering Musk and destroying Tesla dealerships). This includes 13% who said this murder would be “Completely Justified.” Similarly, nearly half of those who self-identified as left of center said the murder of Elon Musk would be somewhat justified (or greater), with about 9% saying this is “Completely Justified” (see Figure 3). Over ⅓ of all respondents believe it is at least somewhat acceptable to destroy Tesla dealerships to protest Elon Musk’s involvement in the Presidential administration.
A majority of people who are merely "left-of-center" claim it's at least "partially acceptable" to either murder people or destroy their property over political disagreements.
I find that people who have attained the highest levels of education and intellect also suffer from the greatest degree of cognitive dissonance about how other people think and what they find acceptable, almost as if they live in their own little world that doesn't come close to approximating ugly reality. This is unfortunate for them, but even more unfortunate for the rest of us since high levels of education and status are also frequently associated with political, monetary, or other forms of power.

And they are so eager for a mass slaughter in Europe as well. I don't feel I have a grasp on everything, but maybe some things. Who will benefit if say whole generations of men are killed in such a slaughter? The survivors of course, under a condition of relative victory.
In the case of one gender, being in a position of rank of some kind, makes such a killing event more acceptable.
In the case of the other gender, the removal of the weak, leaves the surviving males to mate with.
All of the survivors, inherit the spoils if any. Including the perpetuation of genes.
There can be psychopaths in both genders, one gender is the puppet for the psychopathy of the other gender in the guidance of hive minds.
But then there are basic instincts. Tribal. I do not read romance novels, but I hear that it is a form of the equivalent of pornography. The instinct to want bad boys, even when compelled to be "Decent".
In the roots of a hive mind gone to mob and then to violence, don't overlook the instincts to promote a romance novel world. In such a world two men fight one dies. The wealth of two men go to one man, then by math two women seek to compete for that wealth for the sake of their real or potential or even imagined children. Continuity of genetics. Even so I and most men admire motherhood.
Not so much conscious but instinctive.
The madness of crowds, is that of mobs, and hive minds. Often not rational, (Most of the time).
It is a sort of math.
Who is a liberal anyway? I consider that I allow quite a lot for others up to the point of harm to society. I allow a bit less for myself, as I am more aware of what harms I could do. So, I exercise conservation to not damage circumstances.
Isn't it interesting that a leftist many who claim to like the idea of conservation, will not conserve the social order.
The love of a mother is to some degree instinctive. Her children are after all her ticket to gene perpetuation. But she does not necessarily have awareness of it. She has the instincts and the emotions for it, we hope.
Another interesting factor I have not woven into the calculations is when sexual morality is actually a tactic to inhibit the successful gene perpetuation of another person or group which is in competition for the filling of existence.
As I have said, I do not see all of this yet, and maybe never will.
Human Tribal Genetic Math, underlying conscious and unconscious motives.
Evil, from psychopathy, evil from instincts/emotions.
But the underbrush seems to be very uncomfortable with the potential success that Trump and company may be able to install to this nation and maybe large parts of the world.

RobertDyck wrote:Canada's medical system isn't perfect, but it's better than the US.
That's a matter of personal opinion. All the Canadians who come to the US to receive medical treatment for things your medical system fails to treat in a timely manner
The rich can afford to travel to the US. I have heard news reports of individuals dying in the US because they can't afford medical. One report was a man diagnosed with cancer. Rather than accept treatment, he went into his garage, started the car, and killed himself with carbon monoxide. That way his house and what savings he head could be willed to his wife and children. When I worked in Virginia, my co-workers told me they would do the same. Canada has a mandatory government medical insurance system. How it's paid varies from province-to-province, but in Ontario the payroll deduction for health insurance is the same as Americans currently pay in Medicare tax. In USA, employers pay an amount equal to what the employee pays, while in Canada the employer pays double what the employee pays. That isn't for healthcare after you're 65, that's for birth to death. It only provides a bed in a ward; if you want a private room in hospital you pay the difference. Dental and vision care are not covered. Ambulence is not covered. Perscription drugs are not covered. But cancer treatments are covered 100%. When I had a hernia, saw a doctor who referred me to a surgeon. First I visted the surgeon in his office, then he had me get blood tests before surgery. I went to hospital myself, day surgery so was released when I recovered from anesthetic. The hospital required me to have a friend or family member pick me up from hospital, a taxi was not good enough. They gave me a perscription for pain medication and penicillin. I had to fill the perscription at my cost, but I never saw a bill for the rest. Total from visit with my family doctor until surgery was 5 months. I'm sure those who aren't rich would prefer the Canadian system.
But this discussion was about Mars. I said I prefer the Canadian system, but don't see how to do that on Mars. Because Mars will have zero tax, I don't see how to pay for a healthcare system. So Mars will have to do it the American way. If you like the American system so much, why aregue? And detail: only large corporations will have to pay anything to the federal government of Mars. The government will also sell land for some revenue. The Corporation operating the transport ship to carry settlers from Earth will be the first large corporation to make payments to the Mars federal government. Those will be the government's sole revenue. By the way: another reason the Mars federal government will be minimal.
Russia's conventional military forces. How do we do that?
Maximize sanctions against Russia. Trump has been easing sanctions, don't do that. And Biden refused to do everything. Trump sanctioned some of Russia's shadow fleet of oil tankers. A sanctioned ship is not allowed in any port that complies with America's sanctions. Any nation that violates that, will be subject to American sanctions, and even China is not willing to risk that. What I'm saying is don't just sanction some of them, sanction all of Russia's ships. Furthermore, India is buying Russian oil, mixing it with oil from other sources, refining into finished products, then selling to the US. If products from India contain any Russian oil, sanction them. Sanctions are starting to have effect; don't back down. The Russian economy will collapse late this year as long as sanctions are not lifted. The Russian government buys weapons from Russian producers below cost. Before the war Russia required weapons manufacturers to sell to foreign buyers to cover the cost of those loses, and for profit. During the war with Ukraine, Russia requires all weapons to go to the Russian army. So Russia requires Russian banks to provide loans to those manufacturers. Those loans are building up, will cause their banking system to collapse. And 70% of all revenue to the Russian federal government came from oil, so between Ukraine bombing their refineries and depots, together with sanctions, and dropping oil prices, Russia is in big trouble.
Provide Ukraine with weapons they need. You don't need to send troops. Stopping the war in Ukraine means Russia won't attack a NATO country, so Ukraine is fighting so NATO troops don't have to. Telling both sides to just stop is not enough, because Russia has past history of treating a ceasefire as an opportunity to repair war damages, manufacture more weapons and ammuntion, recruit and train more soldiers, then attack again. The solution is to ensure Russia doesn't get to keep any Ukrainian land. Besides, Ukraine offered an unconditional ceasefire a month ago, on all fronts. Russia refused. The problem is not Ukraine, the problem is Russia. Providing Ukraine with weapons is cheap compared to American engaging directly in war with Russia. But if you are so obsessed with not paying for weapons to Ukraine, then just be willing to sell. The latest request from Ukraine was to buy Patriot missile systems, and they offered to pay full price. Trump said no. That's stupid!!! Just accept the offer, sell weapons.
You seem to want Mars to be some form of escapism from very human problems, and view the government as the problem, while fixating on some aspect of governance that you see as unfair or unwise. Nothing you've written so far makes me think you actually understand, or even attempt to understand, anyone else's viewpoint. Congratulations, you're exactly like the people you despise. You're no better, except in your own head, and no different.
We tried separate countries. We've had countries since Sumer invented irrigation, between 6200-5700 BC. That's roughly 8,000 years ago. Irrigation allowed larger populations. Before irrigation, Mesopotamia had small villages; climate was dry, but with some rain. Crop yield wasn't so good. But with irrigation, the first city of 24,000 people was possible. Once more than one city existed, wars started. North American aboriginal people (indians) often fought for resources. The Hurons would not, but they were raided by Mohawks who raided to steal food. They had villages, not cities. Inca had cities, they conquered their neighbors by military force. You want separate countries, each with a military. But history shows us that results in war. Always. I brought up Ukraine because it's a war going on now.
Timothy Snyder ... Trump Derangement Syndrome, same as you. President Trump is gone in less than four years. We had a dementia patient in the White House from 2020 to 2024. President Biden is gone now.
Trump is doing many things wrong. His tariffs do not work they way he claims. But those tariffs are causing economic harm to my country. The US has long claimed to be the leader of the free world, but the rest of us in the free world are watching as the US falls into dictatorship. Years ago one author wrote a book titles "The Rise and Fall of the American Empire", showing parallels between ancient Rome and the US. What we're seeing with Trump is the transition from democracy to the dictator; in Rome that was by Julius Ceasar and Augustus Ceasar. If you want to defend Trump, then accept what's happening.
The person in this scenario is a foreign national drug cartel gang member.
The person that the Supreme Court ordered to not be deported from the US, and now demands be returned, was a legal citizen of the US. He entered the US as a refugee, got his Green Card, married an American woman, had a baby born in the US. The gang in question is in New York, but the individial in question has never been to New York state in his life. He is not a member of that gang. That's why courts exist: when false accusations are made, the courts can free the innocent. And that's why the Supreme Court ordered this man to not be deported.
Ps. Regarding Trump sending serial rapists and murderers back to their country of origin, since they are not Americans and entered America illegally. I'm guessing that after living with such brutish criminals for a week, assuming you're still alive, you'll be all in favor of tossing them out of helicopters, despite the fact that is clearly not what our government is actually doing with them.
Not Trump is saying Americans, born and raised in America, will be deported to El Salvador. No trial. If these individuals really did commit the crimes he claims, that can be proven in court, and they can serve time in a prison in the US. But again, courts do not exist to protect the guilty, they exist to protect those who did not commit what they are accused of. And what if you are guilty of parking after the meter expired? Will you be deported? You're not innocent, you're guilty of a parking violation. Should you be deported? That's what courts are for, to sort out innocent from guilty, and those who are not innocent but did something small such as a parking violation from serious accusations like murder. The US Constitution guarantees due process in the Fifth and Fourteenth Ammendments. The Canadian Constitution has something similar. It exists for the reason I just stated, and a President cannot overrule the Constitution. As one American YouTuber said, if Trump gets away with this, he will then deport anyone who disagrees with him, including YouTubers like himself.

RobertDyck,
I said I prefer the Canadian system, but don't see how to do that on Mars. Because Mars will have zero tax, I don't see how to pay for a healthcare system.
If you think I prefer our system, then you're equally wrong, but here's a thought. You are going to have taxes and you are going to have a purely public health care system (medical, dental, and vision), because there aren't enough medical staff or a large enough pot of money for any other options. Much like everything else in remote parts of the world, you're going to pay through the nose. Since every person on Mars needs to be productive, or there was never a good reason to send them there, you are going to provide full health care, period, or you won't have a functional colony.
A sanctioned ship is not allowed in any port that complies with America's sanctions.
China and India will happily do business with Russia. We can't do anything effective to prevent them from doing business amongst themselves.
Sanctions are starting to have effect; don't back down. The Russian economy will collapse late this year as long as sanctions are not lifted.
Iran has been under fairly draconian US sanctions since 1979. I'm sure their economy, which has far fewer natural resources and people than Russia, will collapse any day now. We've definitely made life miserable for the average Iranian, but most of them hate America about as much as they hate their own government. One thing's for sure, though, we're still at odds with each other over pretty much everything we care about.
The solution is to ensure Russia doesn't get to keep any Ukrainian land.
If most the fighting age Ukrainians are killed before you and Zelensky are forced to accept that Ukraine simply does not have the manpower to win a land war against Russia, I doubt very much that will be any consolation to the war's victims.
Providing Ukraine with weapons is cheap compared to American engaging directly in war with Russia.
The US and EU have spent $287B thus far to aid Ukraine, and borrowed even more money to do it. Spending another $287B is unlikely to achieve the desired effect, but our people will definitely be $574B poorer. Collectively, we've already sent as many ATGMs as Russia has tanks, including those it had in storage. The problem is that each one of those weapons cost about as much as a Russian tank, and Russia has been making new tanks about as fast as we can make missiles to destroy them.
Do you recall how historians stated that the defeat of Japan and Germany was inevitable because they couldn't keep pace with Allied war materiel production?
We're running into that same problem. To reverse that disturbing trend, we'd need to use our military to invade and start destroying their factories.
Just accept the offer, sell weapons.
So you can turn around and accuse America of war profiteering or war-mongering?
Hard pass.
You want separate countries, each with a military. But history shows us that results in war. Always.
Your own read of history indicated that we were fighting each other before nations existed. Heck, we fight each other within our own nations from time to time. Even when there's no functional government to speak of, you still have wars. Why are you unable to accept that violence is part of the human condition? Please tell me you don't actually believe you're the very first person who ever thought that if we did X vs Y, we'd have world peace.
Trump is doing many things wrong. His tariffs do not work they way he claims. But those tariffs are causing economic harm to my country.
Imagine how ordinary working class Americans feel about the results of NAFTA and the tariffs imposed on the products America attempts to export. We're eating a trillion dollar trade imbalance every year now.
The US has long claimed to be the leader of the free world, but the rest of us in the free world are watching as the US falls into dictatorship.
You do realize that was American propaganda, don't you?
What we're seeing with Trump is the transition from democracy to the dictator.
What you're seeing is the transition from a President who cares more about what other nations think about how America is run, to a nation where the President cares more about what Americans think about how America is run.
US DoJ Documentation on Kilmer Abrego Garcia
From the document:
On March 28, 2019, the Prince Georges county Police Gang Unit made contact with two suspected illegal aliens whom they had validated as an active MS13 gang members. ICE ERO officers [redacted] and [redacted] responded to 5600 Rhode Island Ave., Hyattsville, MD 20783.
Upon arrival, [redacted] met with Task Force Officer Detective [redacted] and he stated, that a subject later identified as Abrego-Garcia, Kilmer Armando (A# 201 577 119 (DOB : 07/26/1995) and Dominguez, Jose Guillermo (A (DOB [redacted] was detained in connection to a murder investigation. [redacted] and W. Allen then approached the subjects identified themselves as Immigration and Custom Enforcement Officer and questioned the subject as to their citizenships.
The subjects freely admitted being citizens and national of El Salvador by birth and that they were present in the United States illegally. The subjects were not in possession of any immigration documents that would allow them to be in or remain in the united States legally.
At approximately 1930, the subjects were arrested and transported to the Howard County Detention center for overnight placement . On March 29, 2019, the subject was transported to the Baltimore Field Office for processing without incident.
Abrego-Garcia is a citizen and national of EL Salvador. Abrego-Garcia claimed to have walked across the desert for many days entering illegally into the United States near McAllen, Texas on or about March 25, 2012.
The person that the Supreme Court ordered to not be deported from the US, and now demands be returned, was a legal citizen of the US.
SCOTUS demands return of an illegal alien who freely admitted to the arresting officers that he entered America illegally.
He entered the US as a refugee, got his Green Card, married an American woman, had a baby born in the US.
He's not a refuge. He's a criminal gang member. If a Green Card was obtained under false pretenses, that means nothing. The American woman he married took out a restraining order against him for assault and battery, which included her being punched by the man, her shirt ripped off, and bruised.
The gang in question is in New York, but the individial in question has never been to New York state in his life. He is not a member of that gang. That's why courts exist: when false accusations are made, the courts can free the innocent. And that's why the Supreme Court ordered this man to not be deported.
MS-13 operates in just about every state now, so far as I'm aware, and that includes New York. There probably aren't many of them in Alaska or Hawaii, but that's about it.
He is a MS-13 gang member with the tattoos and regalia to prove it. He was identified by another MS-13 gang member and was arrested with other MS-13 gang members during the course of a murder investigation.
Why are you defending an illegal alien MS-13 gang member who beat the piss out of his American wife?
