Re: Master of AI

Well I mentioned this back in early june Electronic 'skin' senses pressure and heat
Flexible material could be used in robots or car seats, researchers say

This has other uses as well for prostetics as well as for robotic uses.

Re: Master of AI

overrated cheap trick. Balancing a bike is easier than you'd think with modern electronics. Those guys are making a fool of themselves. Not to the wide public, but imagine the laughs this gets from some rival robot-designers...

I'd be impressed if it were able to walk AND ride a bike, but this.... useless.

I can't find the link, but I saw a website with a house-made thing that did the same. Oh, and it did not use fancy-chmancy wireless computer-control, but a low-power microcontroller, to boot! (pun intended)

Re: Master of AI

For robotic motorbikes there was one in the last Darpa grand challenge but due to a technical fault it did not go far though it apparently has had that problem fixed. (actually it wobbled its way then accelerated straight into a fence  :? )

On the NASA front there is an increased sign that full automation and space robotics and telerobotics will take a greater prescence in future missions and to develop the various plans.

Re: Master of AI

Well here is another twist on the uses for AI. Say that you want to live on forever but you can not have a human body, Death Could Be Averted By 'Downloaded Brains', British Futurologist Says

While the predictions might sound outlandish, they were merely the product of extrapolations drawn from the current rate at which computers are evolving,

If you draw the timelines, realistically by 2050 we would expect to be able to download your mind into a machine, so when you die it's not a major career problem,

Do you still pay taxes? ???

I hope not.

Now for the bully robot to leap out and push him over.
