SpaceNut,
If you think anybody on President Trump's team is going to jail, then you really are living on a different planet than the rest of us are. If Secretary Clinton wasn't prosecuted for storing classified information on her personal E-Mail server, then what do you think the odds are that President Trump or his staff will be prosecuted for saying things you don't like, talking to people you don't like, or doing business with people you don't like?
The DNI, with input from the FBI and CIA, have written a report and made official statements under oath in front of Congress testifying to the fact that they found no evidence of President Trump's collusion with Russia. If the best intelligence agencies on the planet can't find any evidence that supports your suspicions, then maybe it's because there's none to be found. If President Trump is a Russian agent, then I'm the Queen of England.
The Democrats continue to claim that there is evidence, which they have not produced up to this point, that President Trump's election campaign staff, transition team staff, or even President Trump himself colluded with Russia to corrupt the election. The Democrat Party must either deliver actual tangible evidence to support their conspiracy theory or admit that their innuendo, intimations, and outright lies regarding President Trump's collusion with the Russians was nothing more than politically motivated false accusations intended to interfere with the operation of the Executive branch of the federal government because they don't personally like the man running it.

The alternate truth about the Trump's executive orders don't always fulfill bold claims
Such as the pipes that were supposed to be made in the USA for the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipeline projects as the truth is it would be unfair, for the TransCanada, company building the line, as it had long ago bought its pipe, some of it made in the U.S., and the rest in Canada, Italy and India.
This is also false as Trump claims immunity as president from protesters' lawsuit as not even the president is above the law.....
Tax Day protesters across US demand Trump release tax returns as part of taxation reform but all Trump wants to hear is the Election is over......Trump's break with precedent has raised questions about possible conflicts of interest.
The documents seen by CIA director denounces Wikileaks, a group Trump has praised but by Director Mike Pompeo as a "hostile intelligence service"
President Trump changes stance on 4 campaign positions in just 1 day as Wednesday, President Trump declared that China is not a currency manipulator, entertained the possibility of re-appointing Janet Yellen as chair of the Federal Reserve, asserted that NATO is a relevant alliance and expressed a favorable view of the Export-Import Bank. Then there is this Border wall could leave some Americans on 'Mexican side' which is picking up some heat on as why we would do this to American is grabbing hold.

Again, let's try to make the best of the current situation. Trump is President, no matter what your political stripe. Can we work with him? I saw Trump say he wants to send humans to Mars, and that NASA will have to speed up is current schedule. Yea! The man wants all the glory, so that implies he wants a human on Mars within his presidency. Assuming he gets re-elected in 2020 (please don't start) so he actually sits 2 full terms, that means election for the next president will be November 2024. So he will want human footprints on red soil before that. Yes, inauguration will be January 2025, but he will want it before the next guy gets the spotlight. Can we work with Trump to make that happen?
Offline
Tom won't like this, but I say Mr. Trump needs no help from anybody to get himself completely discredited. There is no hidden "presidential person" in him able to behave better than during the campaign, there is only Donald Trump. What you have seen all along is EXACTLY what you got!
He is a person abysmally ignorant of how things really need to be done, especially in government, although that same lack explains his 6 bankruptcies-of-record as a businessman, until he became that sort of fraudulent showman that is a "reality TV star". This is accompanied by a completely-unwarranted arrogance about his own infallibility, plus a tendency to severely-bully underlings (except perhaps not those from his own family).
The worst of all is that he demonstrably neither perceives, nor cares, about the distinction between truth and lie, fact and fancy. No foreign leader not equally ignorant can possibly trust anything this man says. We certainly cannot, here at home.
Ignorance+arrogance+bullying-of-underlings+total-disregard-for-truth = complete incompetence = a recipe for disaster as a president, or pretty much anything else except a P. T. Barnum-style showman, a synonym for complete fraud, as is well-known.
The safety and security of the country is at serious risk because of his incompetence.
Whether he or his campaign ever colluded with the Russians to screw-up our election is irrelevant to what will happen anyway before he can finish 1 term, in my opinion. He will eventually be impeached for gross, egregious, incompetence that actually threatens the safety and security of the country.
Whether the word "treason" is ever used makes no difference. Whether he is actually convicted by the Senate, or resigns like Nixon, makes no difference.
This will NOT happen quickly. Much of the GOP has not given up on him yet. His core voters have not given up on him yet. But as he fails to deliver, eventually they will. Not until then will it happen. If my opinion is wrong, he might get a second term. But he won't complete it. That's my prediction.
The 2018 mid-terms are going to be extremely interesting. We'll see if the Democrats can reverse their decades-long sell-out to giant corporate interests, and actually champion the common working man once again. The longer they fail to do that, the longer this travesty continues. THAT will determine whether he serves part of 1 term, or part of a second.

SpaceNut,
Stores that sell crap people don't need at prices they can't afford are closing?
Somewhere George Carlin must be dancing a jig. Is it possible that working Americans have figured out that they don't need to buy into the steaming pile of self-serving garbage that Hollyweird freaks work over time trying to shovel into their soft heads?
It must be another Trump conspiracy to take jobs from the working man. Whatever will the little slave children in foreign countries who turn out the disgusting trappings of Western decadence ever do? Maybe go to school and learn to think for themselves? We can't have any of that.
President Trump is probably sick and tired of this Russia nonsense. He can't be the dumbest person alive and some sort of criminal spy mastermind at the same time. So far, everyone responsible for getting evidence (you know, that stuff of which none exists that proves President Trump did anything but fart in the wrong direction in this Russia circus) is rolling a big fat donut.
The Democrats need to either show the public the hard evidence they have that President Trump or his campaign staff colluded with the Russians to win the election or admit what's so blatantly obvious to the rest of us. The Democrats are butt-hurt that a reality TV show star beat Wonder Woman in the last election cycle because she was the worst candidate the Democrats have ever inflicted upon themselves and no amount of personal belief and wishful thinking was ever going to get her elected. That was the losing campaign strategy, just in case anyone is remotely interested in "change you can believe in." The Democrats thought personal belief and media hysteria would win elections and convinced themselves that they knew what they obviously didn't.
A Democrat was on national TV a month or so back. He said that even if the special investigator finds no evidence of collusion with the Russians, he still wouldn't accept the result of the investigation. That's a tacit admission that this is nothing more than an attempt to disrupt the federal government with the Democrats' fantasies about how the last election was supposed to end.
President Obama wasn't impeached after the FBI determined that his Secretary of State was stuffing state secrets in her personal mailbox or after she sold Uranium to the Russians, nobody seemed to care about his Justice Department's gun running scheme that lead to the deaths of their own employees, nobody seemed to care about his National Security Advisor lying to Americans about Benghazi on national TV or spying on President Trump, and nobody cared about President Obama's attempt to re-write immigration laws.
Only the Democrats care about whether President Trump talked to some Russians. If he's a Russian spy, I'm the Queen of England.
Honest man? What fantasy world do you live in, SpaceNut? You won't find any completely honest people in DC and we still can't find a Democrat who knows fact from fiction even after it hits them in the face like a load of Trump.

Comey accused the president and his top aides of lying. He suggested that the president wanted special treatment in exchange for loyalty. Trump was not a target of an FBI investigation when Comey led the bureau. But Comey’s words and actions since being fired make it more likely that he is one now. More than four decades ago, President Richard Nixon wasn't a subject of a criminal investigation in the early stages of the one that eventually forced him from office.
http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politic … ng-n769941
Legal experts are divided. While many agree that Comey's testimony suggests Trump acted inappropriately, they point out it would be much harder to prove he acted illegally since obstruction of justice requires proving Trump's intent — never an easy task. To which the Trump tapes would put an end to that in short order.
Comey took notes of his conversations with the chief executive because he feared that Trump would lie about them, and accused the White House of spreading lies about why he was ousted. According to multiple reports, the president has asked several top intelligence officials to intervene with the probe.
President Donald Trump committed a federal crime by lying to Comey about his connections to Russia and activities on his 2013 visit there. It’s a crime to lie to a representative of the federal government. Thus, Mueller can now investigate the possibility of a criminal charge against Trump if he had any connection to Russia.

Of course with any testimony there are lots of questions and sometimes even legal questions arising from James Comey's testimony which is at a count of 6 for the Q & A
Already said House Intelligence Committee requests Comey's Trump meeting notes, White House tapes which if these are missing, destroy or deleted is a crime under federal law as this is part of record keeping.
Of course there is those that say Comey was just out to get Trump that he is against President Trump's as the former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski calls James Comey 'the deep state in Washington' since there are leaks.....call it what you want it is a form of whistle blowing and that is what Snoden did as well about the role of the NSA existence.
That said the Senate Judiciary Committee asks for copies of leaked memos as to the act content that was sicne some what a criminal charge if anything is classified secret, sound like a doctored document with added in the context markings for the classification, which sound all so firmilar...
Though the congressional net has been cast pretty large its just the beginning as there are so many characters in this Russian play of collusion as New York AG's office investigating Eric Trump's charity to which that same A.G.’s office is still investigating the Donald J. Trump Foundation since the fall and that case remains open.

Trump will hoist himself by his own petard, I have no doubt about that. The only question is how long this farce will continue before his rabid supporters see how he has deceived them, and abandon him. The dumber they effectively are, the longer this will take. 1 term, 2 terms, who knows?
Ultimately he will step into treason. That will be the impeachment ground. He has already damaged our alliances in Asia and especially Europe and NATO. That is something the Russians (as Soviet and post-Soviet) have tried to do for decades and failed. Now Mr. Trump has done this job for them, and that has been witnessed by millions.
How is that damage to our alliances and NATO not providing "aid and comfort to the enemy"? According to the US Constitution, providing aid and comfort to the enemy is one of two ways to commit treason, and such treason only requires 2 witnesses (or a confession) to convict.

The perversion of Trump to mayor of sinking island: Don't worry about sea level rise caused by global warming is threatening the existence of the tiny community of Tangier Island, Virginia, located in Chesapeake Bay. Since 1850, the combination of sinking land and rising seas has caused 67 percent of the island's landmass to be lost. Whether the mayor sees it or not, the ocean is rising due to warming waters and melting land-based ice sheets and glaciers caused in large part by human emissions of greenhouse gasses. Nature doesn't care whether one believes in a phenomenon in order for it to take place.

Yes the election is over but what the hackers did target was personal information data bases to which there was evidence that things were altered. Here’s Yet More Evidence That The 2016 Election In Texas Was A Mess
A new report says people waited in line to vote for up to three hours at one polling place. With confusion over their polling place, registration status and the documentation required to vote as caused by controversial 2011 voter verification law. In April, a federal judge ruled the law was designed intentionally to discriminate against black and Latino voters. At least seven of the state’s 254 counties still displayed signs during early voting saying a photo ID was necessary to vote. Most of the voter ID-related incidents reported involved election officials telling people they needed a photo ID in order to vote.
This is how just what we caused can effect your personal information.

More states are responding to the voter fraud with nyet to requests (included in this List of 29 states outright refusing to cooperate with Trump’s pointless “voting fraud” commission and status of what others are complying with) that would cause real damage if allowed as collecting all this voting data in one location, as opposed to having it dispersed throughout 50 separate states, will make it a HUGE hacking target for cyber attacks. All of which have been targetted plus when you count all of the other break ins which have happened in the last few years accross the nations from retail to ferderal and medical data bases it really shows how dangerous that would be.

I know how my touch is registered on the touch screens of tablets and banking so no wonder this is being called into question.... Lawsuit seeks to void Georgia congressional election results
Georgia's electronic touchscreen voting system is so riddled with problems that the results of the most expensive House race in U.S. history should be tossed out and a new election held, according to a lawsuit filed.
The lawsuit claims Georgia's touchscreen voting system has severe security problems, lacks verifiable paper ballots and cannot be legally used for elections. The new lawsuit comes weeks after the publication of a classified National Security Agency report describing a sophisticated scheme, allegedly by Russian military intelligence, to infiltrate local U.S. elections systems using phishing emails. The suit cites the work of private cybersecurity researcher Logan Lamb, who discovered last August that a misconfigured server had left Georgia's 6.7 million voter records and other sensitive files exposed to hackers. The complaint also notes that seven months after Lamb made that discovery, another researcher was able to do the same.

Experts say the failure to submit the request to states through the Office of Management and Budget’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) violates a 1980 law known as the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA).
Experts interviewed by The Hill said they believed that the commission did fall under the Paperwork Reduction Act, a 1980 law that requires federal agencies to seek public input, including through a comment period, before making a request for information.

RobertDyck:
I cannot argue with what you said about Russia in your post 933 just above. All I can say is that there is a community of politicians in DC that are proponents of what I call "profitable perpetual war". What you call them (hawks, neocons, etc) does not matter. This has been going on since Vietnam. These are the folks that induced "W" to botch the Afghanistan invasion into a perpetual thing, and to needlessly destabilize Iraq by invading it and toppling Saddam, who previously had been "our boy" holding back Iran. That is also now a perpetual thing. Those are but two of many examples.
On the other hand, Putin's Russia has been spreading propaganda in the US and Europe to divide and destabilize our societies, and to meddle with our elections. The rise of neo-Nazi/racist/extremist movements in all these countries (including the US) traces directly to this information war Russia has been waging against us.
Whether this is a Russian response to western hostility towards Russia, or the other way round, is a chicken-and-egg problem, now relatively moot. The troubles resulting in "Cold War 2" began when Putin sabotaged Russian democracy and took power as dictator.
The Russian fake news that got Trump barely elected by affecting peoples' decisions is essentially an act of war, as far as I am concerned. Their failed attempt to damage voter registration records certainly is an overt act of war, and I think most Americans would agree with me. We will be dealing with the damage this incompetent Trump is doing, for the rest of our lives. Therefore Russia is no friend to us, not with Putin running it.
I may be more alone in my belief that our politicians (of both parties) are committing treason by not dealing with the Russian information war against us, of which election meddling is a part.
I also think Mr. Trump has already committed treason, by damaging all of our alliances within only 6 months. That is something the Russians have been unable to do, for the last 7 decades. How does that NOT qualify as "aid and comfort to the enemy"?
