#151 Re: Not So Free Chat » geeks, how long can be a PC before it crashes ? - spam virus and other threads » 2004-02-16 12:21:17

Hmm... its probably a "secret" virus (OMG), that was probably "secretly" excuted when you downloaded a corrupt file.
OR THE GOVERNMENT IS OUT TO GET YOU.
Your first problem is you got Windows Me XD.
Sorry I can't really help you.

#152 Re: Not So Free Chat » Is Pluto a Planet? - You Be the Judge. » 2004-02-15 13:07:30

It was a joke...
But terraforming Pluto is possible, just not probable.
Why move the Sun when you can Jupiter into one and move in Zeosynchronous orbit?

#153 Re: Not So Free Chat » Is Pluto a Planet? - You Be the Judge. » 2004-02-13 21:55:18

Its a planet simply because:
"If it can be terraformed its a planet" is my motto.

#154 Re: Intelligent Alien Life » One question, what would it be? - Contact with an ET, what would you ask? » 2004-01-30 17:51:57

Perhaps we should ask them the meaning of life and see if they've come up with an answer yet  tongue .

#156 Re: Intelligent Alien Life » Do sentient beings have to be biological? » 2004-01-30 15:01:28

I've seen references to what Aliens might appear to be and a few artist conceptions.
But all of them illustrate Aliens as being biological.
Couldn't sentient life easily be biotanical or mineral as it is biological?

#158 Re: Not So Free Chat » Russia Vs. Industrial Companies - A Race to Mars? » 2004-01-22 15:25:52

I'd like to point out that my 'prophecy' has come true,
[http://www.redcolony.com]http://www.redcolony.com.
Red Colony has changed itself into a Buisness that plans to go to Mars in 2017, 3 years later than Russia but about 33 years ahead of America.

#159 Re: Human missions » Kerry's position on space - any one know were Kerry stands » 2004-01-22 15:13:17

I'm sure that somewhere there's a democrat that supports space exploration. Not all democrats are alike. Not all of them believe in the same things.

I'm a Democrat thats supportive of space exploration XD.
Except I'm a Liberal Democrat that prefers Socialism over Capitalism.
I'm not entirely sure but what I've heard/gathered is that Clark is a pro-Mars Direct man who also cares about the people.
Kerry deserves to be shot, Thank You and Goodbye big_smile.

#161 Re: Not So Free Chat » Predictions for 2004 - Got one? » 2004-01-21 14:35:24

s for going with Mars Direct because of popular demand to go to Mars, I'm highly doubtful. First off, why? As enthusiastic as everyone here is to go to Mars, the general public's view is who cares? They're more interested in abortion and death penalty policies than learning about anything. Aren't there more important issues at hand? Not according to the public.

Where on Earth do you live?
Everyone I know is so excited about Bush planning a mission to Mars their wetting themselves, and no they're not like us o-o, they're the cool people o-o.

#162 Re: Science, Technology, and Astronomy » The Saturn V » 2004-01-17 21:20:00

I actually have never heard of the Saturns, what where there purposes?

#163 Re: Human missions » a reason why Pres Bush is in no rush on mars » 2004-01-16 11:24:54

The only reason he's going to the moon is too counter-act China's announced space plan
Because:
A.) The Chinese aren't really allied with America.
B.) Surely the Russian spacecraft destined for Mars will take some Astronauts.

#164 Re: Intelligent Alien Life » Universal Life - Is all - complex life in the universe similar? » 2004-01-15 08:38:05

Sorry to bump up an old topic but what all elements could be the basis of life other than Silicon and Carbon?
And what if a Silicon based lifeform didn't have a respatory system, or didn't breathe oxygen?

#165 Re: Not So Free Chat » Russia Vs. Industrial Companies - A Race to Mars? » 2004-01-14 22:21:03

With the mentioning of the Russians heading to Mars in 2014, will Individual Industrial Companies try to beat them before the Russians can claim any land.
It makes perfect sense considering how much rare material is on mars does it not ???.

#166 Re: Not So Free Chat » Predictions for 2004 - Got one? » 2004-01-14 22:17:45

My predictions:
Clark will win the Election by a few eletorial votes.
Clark will scrap bush's space plan and use good ole' Mars Direct due to popluar demand to go to Mars.
China unveils its plans for a space station to be built within 4 years.
And I complete my beta of my vertical helicopter/ion engine hybrid.

#168 Re: Not So Free Chat » ISS leaking? - Experienced steady pressure drop » 2004-01-09 19:05:51

-_- Tell me I'm not the onlly person who predicted this?
Perhaps we should dismantle the ISS for material for the "Moon Station".

#169 Re: Human missions » Which other planets can you see humans on? - Within our solar system at one point » 2003-12-27 23:06:47

#170 Re: Terraformation » Atmospheric Degeneration » 2003-12-22 10:54:30

Erm how exactly could the great flood devour half the atmosphere?
I mean at 2 bars Noahs head would have exploded no?
And doens't water only devour CO2 and similar carbon based gases?

#171 Re: Not So Free Chat » Holiday Wish List - ...Cosmic Style » 2003-12-21 12:54:36

Making Rust-Angles on the Martian surface!
Seriously.

#173 Re: Not So Free Chat » the christian double standard » 2003-12-16 22:23:04

I believe in Evolution,
I believe that Alexandria was SO precious and would have hoped it was rebuilt had I lived in that era ;_;.
And I don't see white/black/Asian/etc... I support Cultures over colors.
Thank You Mr. LOOK AT ME.

Oh and Socrates ROCKED big_smile.

#174 Re: Not So Free Chat » the christian double standard » 2003-12-16 21:53:57

#175 Re: Not So Free Chat » International Moon Base - The Hawaii Declaration » 2003-12-15 12:55:56

I think that we are ignoring a common "fact" that the majority of the astronauts/cosmonauts consider each others brothers of space and not people from this or that nation.
