Doesn`t matter what is it -- even if representing "just" pressure in the physical vacuum in our universe, there`s CERTAINLY way to utilize it. The "dark matter" too if different. Just feed with darmat designer black holes and wormholes... "Dark energy" when understood and harnessed is EXACTLY what we need to do space-time engineering: Alubierre/van den Broek drives, wormholes, artificial universes... The force which pumps the universe to expand faster than inertially postulated, is indeed our chance to survive the fate of this universe.

Light and Matter takes gravity into the black hole,
but repulse dark energy may be impossible to dump into a black hole.

Dark energy may be an unknown property of space,
like the ability of a single photon to interfere with itself, even though the paths are light years apart.

or other theory. Heim one is the only one which gave RIGHT predictions of thee elemeentary particles masses without experimentation. 16 particles. The probability of coincidence is 1 : 10x10exp64 . Impressive!!!
