Re: PASSWORDS: Your old passwords should work, but if not...

Hello folks. If you cannot log in with your old IkonBoard username or password, please post your username here, and I'll send you an email with a functional password. Basically when we made the switch to the new forums, the hash algorithms for storing passwords changed, so we can authenticate users using their old passwords, but we cannot view them or have them sent to the user.

This should not affect very many people, but if it affects you, please post here, and I'll take care of it (assuming your email is still functional, if not, we'll have to work it out, but at that point we can consider an account forfeited).

Click http://www.newmars.com/forums/profile.p … ister]here to change your password after I send you a default one.

Re: PASSWORDS: Your old passwords should work, but if not...

Hmm, I sent you a new password a few days ago. I resent it, if you're not getting it (from joshcryer at gmail) then perhaps you should check your spam folder, I could be getting trashed automatically. Sorry for the trouble dicktice!

No apolgies necessary! I'm so sorry that your password didn't make it through. Most old regulars seem to be okay (much to my relief). You can check your bulk email (maybe I'm in the spam folder) or you can add joshcryer at gmail dot com to your contacts, and I'll resend the email. Also, you probably want to add forums@newmars.com to your email, too, that way you can get PM's if you chose to use that feature.

Re: PASSWORDS: Your old passwords should work, but if not...

Dick Tice, my friend, I sent another email. If you want, I can give you the password publicly, which you can then change later (if someone tries to take your name, I'll beat them over the head with a stick). I hope that email went through, it was like the third or fourth one I sent. sad

And yeah, you can edit your old posts, and post new posts, you have all the abilities of before. smile

Just gotta get that pass to ya!

Re: PASSWORDS: Your old passwords should work, but if not...

Let me clarify, your forum password doesn't work for the wiki?

edit: I believe this is a problem with having - in your username, you should probably just set up an account under something like ISA or whatever.
