*Is this the revenge of Willy Wonka?  A publicity-stunt tie-in?

The 25-foot-tall, 17 1/2-ton treat of frozen Snapple juice melted faster than expected Tuesday, flooding Union Square in downtown Manhattan with kiwi-strawberry-flavored fluid that sent pedestrians scurrying for higher ground.

Re: Revenge of the Popsicle

*...of that humble yet delectable treat, the Popsicle.  big_smile

Frank Epperson invented the popsicle at age 11.  He applied for a patent at age 29.  Originally he named it an "Epsicle."  His kids changed the name to "Popsicle."  That'd make sense, if in honor of their "Pop."

I like just the regular fruit-flavored type.  Lime and orange are my favorite flavors.
