Didn't you have another inflammatory thread on Christians in America several months ago?
So they try to convert people, so what? That's what people who believe anything do.
That, and simple forces of the market at work in this case.

The owners of some IMAX theaters, a business, decide that based on numerous factors that the profit from showing certain films doesn't balance the risk of loss from offending the clientele in the area. Basic market forces. Even if it is merely the owners' personal beliefs at work, profit be damned it's a private business, they can show or not show whatever they want. Plenty of movie theaters chose not to run "The Passion of the Christ" for similar reasons.

i can feel the end of civilization with each submission to irrationalism; it was noted by a neo-platonist philosopher that no matter how much rationalization was given to the christians, they just kept breeding and playing stupid; eventually, the "pagan"(a christian word for anybody but themselves) thinkers just decided to pack bags and head east to the Byzantine empire and let the west fall which it of course did.

i'd also love to see your stats on the number of theatres who decided to not show the "Passion" movie; i don't know of one and went to go see it for myself; couldn't help noticing the hebrew word for the Romans was Kaiser!

Um, cretard, the Byzantine Empire was more thoroughly Christian than the western empire at the time. That was the whole reason Constantine built his new capital away from old pagan Rome when he switched religions.
Anyways, it's clear you already know everything, so I guess I'll just let you be.

Well, I'm sure you'll be back to read my reply . . . my reply is I don't remember everything about Byzantianism(because I read so much), but I guarantee you I can find experts in Byzantium at http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com]www.skepticsannotatedbible.com who will tell you otherwise.

By the way, Flashgordon, it is not that the Hebrew word for the Romans was kaiser; rather, the word kaiser comes from the Latin word Caesar, which what the Jews quite naturally called the Romans.
