-aka- "Jin Wicked's Old Tyme Fun & Diversions"
*This guy is hilarious. I think he goes a bit overboard about Norman Rockwell (some stuff in here might offend a few folks...you've been warned!), and I did watch Bob Ross every Saturday afternoon for years.
He does make some good points, and slams Picasso.
Here's a part of quote regarding Andy Warhol (the Campbell's Soup "art"):
I'm not certain what the inspiration for this could possibly be. Was he really hungry? Simply an avid soup-lover? So far I've never been moved to create a series of tubs of boursin, and I could eat that stuff day and night. Maybe he was clipping coupons one Sunday afternoon and just snapped. [LOL!!] Is Waldo hidden in one of these cans? Is one a winner? Do I get a prize if I figure out which one is "it"? Does one of them hold the key to the secret of life?
Regarding 2 of Picasso's paintings:
Was this woman so incredibly boring that he felt the need to give her war paint? Does she, in fact, have a waffle glued to the side of her head? Was this chair built by a cross-eyed carpenter?
AND WHAT IS THIS? The title read Nude in a Rocking Chair, but when I look at it, all I see are two cartoony eyes, a beak shape, and some kind of demented pineapple.
Still have a bit more reading to do, teehee.
But I still do like Bob Ross. He was cool with his "happy trees" and talk about baby deer (fawns). :;):

P.S.: Again, there might be a few items in here which might be offensive to some. I just looked through another section and perhaps I should have waited to post. :-\ Nothing drastic, but perhaps not completely appropriate.

He always struck me as someone who could just snap any day. Maybe it was just the way he said "happy accident", sounds like a euphamism for a hit. ???
Haven't read much the site yet, but amusing so far. Some of it kind of reminds of the comments of another self-appointed art critic of the last century. Though he's better known for invading France and killing millions of people.
(Was going to end that with a "laugh", but now I can't. Should have ended with invading France I guess.)
Build a man a fire and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life.

*So you're familiar with Bob Ross, huh? Aw now, that's not what he had in mind ("a hit")! :;):
Well, "Jin Wicked" is an artist, not I...but even after years of watching Ross paint, I gave it a serious try. My "paintings" had a certain Kindergarten charm. :-\
Probably it's just me, but even his straightforward style isn't as easy to follow as it seems. Danged oil paint is NOT easy to work with, especially painting thin on thick.

A British graffiti artist who goes by the name "Banksy" went one step further, by smuggling in his own picture of a soup can and hanging it on a wall, where it stayed for more than three days earlier this month before anybody noticed.
The prank was part of a coordinated plan to infiltrate four of New York's top museums on a single day.
Lol...oh brother.
Sure proves a point, though, doesn't it?? Teehee.

P.S.: Bob Ross died on July 4, 1995 (52 years old only). Nearly everyone on the net slams him unmercifully, and his fans. If you like Bob Ross you have Alzheimer's; you're an emotionally isolated/unreachable adult; you have cooties; your mother was an alcoholic housewife...on and on. Most, if not ALL, of it seems like mere parroting to me: Bob Ross isn't cool and if you like him you're not cool, so join Herd Think or else. At least "Jin Wicked" critiques Bob Ross's actual work/technique; these other people are simply bashing him because it's "the thing to do" apparently. Bob Ross was Good People...I liked him.
