*Hello anyone reading this:
Did you notice my funky new avatar? I love it. However, I was hoping to use it later, and put up a Halloween avatar for the month of October.
I've visited at least 5 large web sites with Halloween avatars but -- unlike the avatar site I've used for my current and two most previous avatars -- apparently one must "right click" on the image and "save as" for the avatars featured at those sites.
That's nice, but what do I do after "save as" -- ?? And would that even work HERE, considering a web page link has to be typed in at the Avatar Options section??
Please help a little lady across the cyberstreet!!! {{ENORMOUS PLEADING EYES WELLING WITH TEARS}}
Thanks!

It works here. Are you having trouble finding the image on your harddrive? If you are, right click the avatar again and take note of which directory its in. If your just using default settings it should be "my documents" under "my pictures." Or you can just take note of the name of the file and use the "find" feature (found by pressing the "start" key in the lower left corner of your screen) to locate it. If there's some weird technical problem keeping you from saving it, I saved it for you. When you want it just yell and I'll send it yer way.

*Okay. Will try again tomorrow (it's getting late here, and I'll need to revisit that one particular web site).

*You are so sweet! Thanks!
Hopefully I can get it right tomorrow...

*Well, I managed to get the image I want saved under "My Documents" and "My Pictures" as:
C:\My Documents\My Pictures\ghostandpumpkin.gif
But when I go to enter that into the "my avatar" option for this message board, I get an error. I'm lost. ???
I am also able to find it using "Find" with the "Start" key, as you mentioned.

Hi Cindy. Upload it to www.ranchoweb.com
You can't give a direct hard drive link to the image, you have to put in a URL. So the image has to be accessable on the web somewhere.

Well, the axe might get turned over to your debating nemesis but he'll have to pull it out of his head first.

Hey go for it! Hopefully he won't start babbling about Eskimos on Pluto. If he does I'll loan you my axe.
