Perhaps, one of these exist in our solar system???

Re: Moon sized diamond.

A solar mass object in our solar system not yet detected? Unlikely. Especially one with a carbon core. Out of curiosity does Jupiter have a core? What is it mad of? What would be the pressure at Jupiter’s core? I bet the core of Jupiter is to hot for anything to crystalize.

Perhaps, a small one is out there a few miles across?

Re: Moon sized diamond.

How about in the center of sedna? Isn't that a large ice planet the the aort clowd. It might be to cold their for the diamond to form even if sedna had a carbon core and enough gravity to compress it.

It would certainly throw out all our calculations on planetary orbits if there was one.

There are plenty of theories about the core of Jupiter - and if it has one or not, but I don't think they are too close to finding out the thruth yet.
