Re: The Day After Tomorrow - A Movie Discussion

I saw the pictures a frozen city and I had to see the movie. Despite the environmental propaganda, bits of over dramatization and questionable science I still really enjoyed the movie. But I do wonder if the idea of a massive blizzard is possible covering all of Canada caused by a massive climate imbalance. In these storms supper cooled air at -170 degrees feirinheight quickly fell from the upper atmosphere. It was so cold it froze the fuel lines in helicopters and caused them to crash. I could see the vortex developing by cold surface air flowing towards the ocean creating a vacuum that will suck down air to replace it. I wonder though it the falling air will raise in temperature because of the fall. I also wonder if the air in the upper atmosphere is dense enough to support a real big vortex.
