*I've seen other (recent of course) pics of Ivan's eye from the ISS...but this is truly an incomparable image IMO. ::shiver::

You can say that again! The unimaginable brute power of these demonic-looking things is eerie when seen from the serenity of space.

*Hi Shaun. It's sure easy to imagine sliding (unwillingly of course!!) down that wing of the ISS and falling head-long into THAT. Looks like a photo from a sci-fi movie or something.
And the monstrous "puff" of cloud ridge around the eye -- geez. There's a 3D pic of Ivan somewhere on the net. Maybe I can find it again.

A dark swirling hole that ravages the lives of those caught within, leaving ruin and huge bills in its wake.
Looks like I have new desktop wallpaper for my workstation. ???

Those clouds look so dense, it seems you should be able to walk on their tops.
My sympathies to anyone and anything in Ivan's path.
What a view for the guys in the ISS. I just know I'd be plastered to the window.

Egad! Mobile and Biloxi were such lovely cities. Shame they're not going to be there when I go back.
