Well, it seems my previous one has been ignored, or no one can figure it out.
It's the EU's anthem.

Oh, man I can only sing that in German.
Freude schöner Götterfunken
Tochter aus Elysium
wir betreten Feuertrunken
Himmlische dein Heiligtum!
Deine Zauber binden wieder
was die Mode streng geteilt
Alle Menschen werden Brüder
wo dein sanfter Flügel weilt
4th movement, 9th Symphony, Luwig van Beethoven. Choral section written by Schiller.
EU Anthem, indeed... clever trickster you are, you!

Something you give recurrent evidence of, that's for sure!
As a typical European though, I still fail to see the "glorious 9th" as my continental anthem. And that's a measure of the superficiality of the entire project.

As a typical European, you still identify with your national state, and its history. The anthem, and all of that superficial stuff isn't for you. It's for your kids.
To give you the American perspective on it, prior to our Civil War, many Americans primarily identified with their state. In fact, during the civil war, many would choose their side (regardless of their personal view) based on which side their home state came in on.
Things are a bit different now (unless you're from Texas), where American's by and large identify with the American federation, and their home state as just a place they live.
Things are going to change for ya all in the next 50 years- what with the free travel and the growing number of Pan-Europeans that jump from here to there.
Side note, many American's think our national anthem should be replaced with "America the Beautiful".
But hey, our current hymn to war is catchy...
