Re: Categories for the competition

We've talked about this on and off before. There should be five, at the most. My suggestions:

Most Humorous
Most Historic
Most Original
In Five Words...
Best Quotation/Out of Context

and then my brain grinds to a halt. What do you think?

I like most original, people could use that for poems, songs, haiku, etc.

Re: Categories for the competition

I like the Best Quote thing - Clark, you're a regular idea machine for this project! I'm considering calling it 'Out of Context' since, well, you're taking the quotation out of context. It's either that or 'Best Quote' anyway.

So that's five categories! I'm quite happy with the ones we have right now (see the top post in this thread) although I'm still open to suggestions.

Re: Categories for the competition

A section of first words spoken by fictional characters in the various sci-fi novels and movies. . .

If we comment on them underneath I *think* its "Fair Use"

Re: Categories for the competition

It definitely is fair use. Looking at fictional first words would make a very entertaining article - people here are welcome to have a go at it, and I'll also mention it to some of the New Mars writers.
