NewMars.com/forums has been in business since (about) 2000 ... The exact starting date seems to depend upon who was keeping track at the time.
For example, our member list included 2001 as the join date.
What is clear is that the date of Post #1 is: 2001-09-04 12:38:39
2001-9 >> 2024-9 >> 23 years plus
This topic is offered in hopes we may be able to put together a few notes on the previous year, if inspiration strikes.

A quick review of the first page of members sorted by post count starts with Quaoar and finishes with SpaceNut.
The names selected are those who I recall having posted in 2024, and a few whose contributions are especially noteworthy.
I would be happy to edit (add to) the list if a name is offered for consideration.

2024 Year End Review
The forum does not yet have a "Like" feature. That feature is definitely on the agenda for 2025.
In the mean time, this topic is available in case a member would care to write a brief note about the contributions of another member.
I'll start off with my observation that Void has once again set a high standard for creative thinking.
While the ultimate realization of some Void's ideas remains to be determined, there is no doubt (in my mind) that his suggestion of dropping payload from a rocket landing at Mars has led to design of an entire industry which I am confident will come to pass because it makes so much sense. That industry would place payloads on Mars using lithobraking for the final phase of flight. An entire topic with plenty of posts is set up to provide an entrepreneur with a foundation to build one of many businesses I am confident will operate in coming decades.
