maybe the world has become more Balkanized some of us thought we would be on Mars, the private sector was criticized not many said Musk would beat Boeing and Ariane and others, a rocket was tweaked and re-branded now SLS.

Back in those days with Bush jnr there was an Axis of Evil and he said you were either with us or with the terrorists, there was still good will to support the USA's peace keeping vision after 911, the Euros had a strong currency for a while, then more conflict, open borders and more war, Obama, Trump, Biden and now a Post Covid World, the USA might be attacking itself politically and looking inward.
