Happy New Year to all who post here!
Looks like 2019 is going to be a very interesting year for Space X and the Mars Mission - probably make or break year for the prospect of humans on Mars in 2024. Should be interesting!

It's New Year's Even on Earth .... This is a time for optimism and hope that 2021 will bring at least one new contributing member to the NewMars forum.
I am grateful to be a part of the knowledgeable and creative group assembled here, and look forward to progress by members on multiple fronts during the coming year.
Among the most pressing needs (from my perspective) is to find out how to solidify contributions so they can become permanent resources for future Mars settlers. The Mars Wiki has potential to serve that role, and perhaps a pathway toward making edits there will open.
Along the way, we are sure to find more members from 2001-2008 whose contributions are worth bringing back into view.
Best wishes to all for success in your endeavors in 2021!

I agree that we all need to think positively in order to shape the future....Sure we can report the negative but look for solutions to it to make it less so....

Once again, it is New Year's Eve on Earth ...
The actual ** new Year ** started on December 21st, when the day reached it's shortest duration in the Northern Hemisphere.
This New Year's Eve finds the world in more turmoil that usual ... I sure hope that 2024 brings resolution of much of the discord.
This is a moment to remember Louis, who started this topic 5 years ago.

Happy New year to all. Hope springs eternal that peace might just break out.
Does anybody know what happened to Louis? He suddenly stopped corresponding on these forums, which is unusual. He was from somewhere in the UK.

That was due to the presence of Mars_B4_Moon posting churn of old topics.
Happy New Years to all of you, my Friends.
Hoping this year is a good year for all.

With any luck, this may be the first post of 2024.
The New Year's celebrations are continuing across the time zones, but New Yorker's can head home knowing they've done their part to bring in the new year!

Happy New Year!
I did my noise-making part, without buying any fireworks. I just walked out on the front walkway, and fired off 3 shotgun rounds into the air. (You can do that, out here in the boondocks.)
