Re: Putin's Russian expanding to be the old USSR

Tucker Carlson a name in journalism circles, ex-Foxnews, he was also a CNN commentator and on the MSNBCNetwork, was fired from FoxNews and then went on his own social media website. He was now gone to Moscow to interview Putin

From the clips I have seen it would seem Vladimir Putin dominated and controlled Interview, Tucker was almost getting lectured and Putin giving a weird, strange, warped version of history and makes excuses for war and imperialism, the first interview with Putin to be granted to a Western journalist since the full scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.  Adam Kinzinger referred to Carlson as a "traitor", while representative Marjorie Taylor Greene praised Carlson's decision, Guy Verhofstadt, wrote that the European Union (EU) ought to consider issuing Carlson with a travel restriction. I didn't watch it all but it is said Carlson asked whether Putin would release Evan Gershkovich, an American journalist detained in Russia

Re: Putin's Russian expanding to be the old USSR

Mars_B4_Moon,

Ukraine might eventually sink most of the ships in Russia's Black Sea Fleet, but it wouldn't help them win their war against Russia, because Russia has never been a great naval power.  Their submarines are potentially very dangerous, either to Russian sailors or their enemies.  Russia is literally flattening Ukrainian cities with artillery barrages and missile strikes.  There's not much left.  Ukraine will never recover from this war.  The Russians wanted to negotiate a peace deal last year when their invasion was going badly, but the NATO clownshow didn't want Zelensky to sue for peace.  Now he's facing abandonment, just as the Afghanis faced abandonment in Afghanistan, because our politicians are grotesque cretins who prey upon the very people they're supposed to serve.

Nobody is lining up to join western military forces because they don't see any point to volunteering to give their lives for the causes of people who hate their very existence, and would never lift a finger to help them, assuming they weren't actively looking for ways to hurt them.

Re: Putin's Russian expanding to be the old USSR

A very strange meat grinder mindset, tyrant Tsars, then WW2 some say 5 million families vanished others say 10 million, Soviet Union suffered the greatest number of casualties in the war, losing more than 20 million citizens, about a third of all World War II casualties.

In the USA a War was supported in Afghanistan after the 911 attacks, less political support for a War in Iraq, these conflicts seen the 20-year war on terror, the collapse of Iraq and infighting, the growth of ISIS and $8 trillion spent and 900,000 deaths, however ISIS declined and almost vanished during the Trump Presidency, the media complained about all the deaths of Americans in Iraq but how high were the numbers during Bush junior, Obama, Trump how bad do these numbers stack up in blood, how horrific was it truly compared to other big wars, nations and other conflicts and the USA 4,430 + total deaths in Iraq only had 2,450+ United States military deaths in Afghanistan and but many other American soldiers injured. Russia and Ukraine however are seeing hundreds of thousands of their people dying, it seems like entire generations are wasted away, however there are broadcasts of propaganda Russia says it is not losing so many men and Ukraine has more dying while Ukrainian estimates of Russia military losses tended to be high, while Russian estimates of their own losses tended to be low, a US estimate said 70,000 killed Ukraine soldiers, 100,000–120,000 wounded a BBC News estimate 115,000 killed Russians, 214,000 wounded, a US estimate 350,000 killed and wounded Russians, the numbers of dead are at levels not seen since WW2. Many foreign mercenary gun for hire citizens from 24 countries are also confirmed to have been killed.

Now we have reports Russia preparing 100,000 soldiers for the bloody meat grinder and for another major offensive

Re: Putin's Russian expanding to be the old USSR

Putin continues to look weaker but at the same type your typical imperialist authoritarian, he claimed it would be 2 days of a special operation

it looked scary for a while Russian Tanks invade, Ukraine had its Navy destroyed and most of its Airforce, Russia gains ground and they had taken half of the entire country of Ukraine
then Ukraine started to hit back hold them off and drive them back near the border, Russia starts to counter attack again

then its a stalemate...maybe with Russians gaining tiny bits of ground

2 years pass 730 days and more days pass
Now it has become a meat grinder trench warfare stalemate, drones on both sides, improvised weapons and bodies broken on both sides, hundreds of thousands dead or with serious injury, Russia throws more bodies and slowly gains small bits of ground.

War has changed into a world of Terminator Drones a bleak future for the next evolution of war and mass human death. Like other past wars we are seeing new technology storm onto the battlefield, it hurts the older dinosaur machine, the tank is cut open and it changes the face of combat and a new route for death to arrive. The Russians and Ukrainians innovate even though it is a stalemate and a meat grinder war, things happening in Ukraine are going to change how battles are done, require the re-writing combat arms manuals, new shocking attacks on Naval vessels the Army and soldier innovates a new weapon of death or a new shield against the Robot Terminator machine to survive.
