The EVIL History of our Educaion System (Documentary), Jake Tran
https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=Th … M%3DHDRSC4
But I understand why it was done. I guess it was better in many cases then being totally ignorant and malnourished with pinworms on a farm.
I do remember reading a 100-year-old book by a French man. He was despairing that the school system was to adopt the Chinese rote learning system. He felt that Coledge, (That's an F for sure!), in particular would damage the students permanently, as it would interfere with the time in life when the student was to learn to think.
Pretty funny, you make them sharecroppers and meat robots. They then owe so much money that they are more likely to fall in line, I think. That last line is for our current era.
I do enjoy my material goods which our economy has provided. I feel I was lucky. I was not on a route to go to Colledge, but instead worked in a mines with left leaning people and then later at a conglomerate with right leaning people. Constant training, and adaptation.
It was a good ride. I have a hope of still doing a little bit that might be useful.
Done.

I didn't realize there would be a pitch, but so what, perhaps someone can fit into what it sells and make it work.
I myself am too docile.

Void,
A lot of school administrators, along with a growing number of teachers, seem to think that if their students can regurgitate scholarly factoids on-command, that they've minted a new batch of scholars. If that's all their students are capable of, then they've minted a new batch of parrots. We've already exceeded the utility of minting new parrots.

US Reading and Math Scores Drop To Lowest Level In Decades
https://www.npr.org/2023/06/21/11834455 … in-decades
While the scores show a drop from the pre-pandemic years, the results also show that there are other factors at work. The decline is even more substantial when compared with scores of a decade ago:
