Re: Colonizing the planet "Ocean"

That plastic boat is a rather interesting use for trash.  At least they never have to worry about it rusting.  It looks like it's getting the job done just fine.

Re: Colonizing the planet "Ocean"

Environmentalists removed more than 40 tons of trash from the Pacific -- and it barely made a dent in a cleanup mission was the "largest and most successful ocean cleanup to date" in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

The patch, between Hawaii and California, is the biggest concentration of floating debris in the world.

Using satellite and drone technology, the crew removed trash including detergent bottles, plastic furniture and children's toys. They also collected fishing gear called "ghost nets," with one weighing 5 tons and another weighing 8 tons. "Ghost nets" are massive nets of nylon or polypropylene that drift and accumulate plastic debris.

It sure is hard to keep something good when others are trashing it.

From the image picking of materials, I would say that the one stream concept is the issue for what can be used as its got to be seperated for the types in order to use the correct process on the resource.

The dead zone is also meantion in this topic. Earths ocean explore why not colonized?

This dead zone is full of plastics and the machine which was built to collect it did not work.

The search engine does have some limitations for finding topics and even posts. When I look for topics that I created I get just 7 pages but the one in this post does not show up...
