While I was writing up this issue's new editorial, it struck me that what with the interesting discussion going on in the forums about the constitution and terraformation, it'd be quite useful to have a weekly or fortnightly summary of the more active or thoughtful threads in the forum.
So, if anyone is interested in doing this job - writing a summary of the current active and interesting threads (not all of them) on a regular basis, please adrian@marssociety.org.uk with a sample article that summarises the threads right now. I'm not looking for a long summary - 500 words max, although that's only a guideline. If it happens that you have something interesting to say that's longer than that, fine, and equally if you think that you can do the job more concisely, no problem.

Hey, looks like an interesting little hobby. I might give it a go once the forums are kickin' again (now that all the bugs are seemingly worked out ).
Some useful links while MER are active. For SpaceNut ... this topic was the first created in Meta New Mars, 20+ years ago
Obviously no one volunteered to perform what is essentially a thankless task with little reward.
I'm bringing the topic forward because RobertDyck just expressed doubt that a neural network would be the correct choice of software to keep Large Ship balanced (in momentum of mass) and pointed in the right direction.
I don't want to get into a debate about procedural code vs neural networks here.
We ** could ** consider a procedural system to collect the posts in a given day and publish a synopsis. I think that might ** just ** barely be possible for WBA as it stands.
However, for an ambitious college student thinking of making a career building neural networks, creating a "Forum Commentator Reporter" program might be interesting to see.

The commentator role was for the home page of the website
http:newmars.com
Here there was efforts to give consolidated summaries of topics, complete articles such as those from Zubrin ect.
It gave another attraction page for those interested in space.
Since we have the Marsnews page it has less traffic.
