In the days and weeks following the riot, the capital was placed on virtual lockdown as tens of thousands of National Guard troops secured the area for Biden’s inauguration.
The National Guard is expected to remain in the capital well past March 12, according to Fox 5 DC.

I think the Democrat legislators who called for Trump Cabinet Members to be harrassed in the street, who supported violent looters, who promoted Antifa's vicious attacks on the First Amendment and who said Trump was "not their President" started this Civil War. But worst of all it was the Deep State rats gnawing away at the vitals of constitutional government who must carry the greatest blame for the ending of American democracy (it is over by the way). I believe the unconstitutional conspiracy was likely led by ex CIA John Brennan but many others were involved at various levels (see the Time Magazine article) and of course the conspiracy was linked to the Obama, Clinton and Biden crime families.
If you don't yet realise your democracy in the USA is finished you soon will. Your election was stolen. The proof is there, in full. It's just no one's allowed to say that or they get banned, unpersoned, made redundant, disbarred from professional associations, harrassed in their homes, subject to legal threats, threatened with jail, sued for billions of dollars, slandered in the MSM or made a figure of ridicule by the same MSM bullies.

Ah, yes, 170 or so people illegally entering the Capitol building is the same thing as flying or trying to fly Boeing 767s into The World Trade Center, The Pentagon, and The White House, as well as killing more than 3,000 American citizens in the process. There were six people who died during the incident at the Capitol building. Five of them had heart attacks / strokes / aneurysms, to include the Police Officer who died, and the sixth one was a young lady who was shot in the head by a Police Officer. Apart from the Police, nobody else showed up with weapons, unlike the 9/11 hijackers.
Until January 6th, 2021, I'd never seen an unarmed man wearing a Chewbacca bikini take over the Legislature of the most militarily powerful nation on planet Earth. This is what keeps Democrats up at night- cross-dressing Republican men wearing Wookie bikinis storming the Capitol building. If you can't appreciate the absurdity and silliness of that, then you lack a sense of humor and therefore a way to understand how utterly insane this obsession over President Trump truly is.

Not if an elections can be stolen, if political thugs can roam the streets and attack opponents at will with no legal penalty, and if the might of the state can be harnessed to pursue political vendettas or protect bribe-takers. Everything is now changed. The private space programmes are definitely in peril. I strongly expect there will be action taken to slow them down, so China can catch up and then Mars can be assigned some sort of Antarctic-style treaty status.

The Democrats care more about ideological purity than humanity itself. Any affront to their ideology, no matter how slight, even if they ultimately win elected office, or legal argument, or whatever, simply can't be tolerated. They don't know how to win or lose graciously.
In 2016, they lost. They spent the next four straight years fixated on one man, as if it was him, rather than their own bad ideas, that caused them to lose the election.
In 2020, they won. They'll spend the next four straight years demonstrating why electing them was a mistake, so they'll lose again, and we'll have to deal with another four years of their nonsense.
Last but certainly not least, our political system directly enables legalized bribery through campaign contributions. The problem is that not even the campaign donations is enough money to satisfy these greedy, arrogant, and ignorant people we seem to always end up with, no matter which dominant political party they're associated with.

Quite so. And this will be to no small extent facilitated by the way that America's political aristocracy have demonised the Americans that voted for him. These people have watched their way of life deteriorate steadily since the turn of the century, whilst an arrogant political class, supported by an equally arrogant globalist super rich, get richer as they get poorer.
When you throw into the mix the fact that they cheated to get rid of Trump and the hardship and bitterness that the approaching peak-energy great depression will bring, and you have a witches brew that could very easily ignite Civil War 2. No doubt there will arise a Fuhrer. He may even ride Trump's coat tails on the way up. It really was irrelevant whether Trump was impeached or not. He is too old to run again and is far more valuable as a slaughtered martyr than he is as a revolutionary leader. It is the man that comes after that the elite need to worry about. He will hit them at a time when the economic great depression has obliterated their tax base and emptied their coffers. With less money than ever to fund security forces, they will face a people's insurrection, led by a charismatic leader that stands for all the things that they don't.

How could that "effective populist" ever win a future Presidential election now we know an election can be stolen and the Supreme Court won't lift a finger, even when a case is filed by several States of the Union? The Supreme Court has totally abandoned the American people. It's probably the most egregious desertion in American history. There's absolutely no chance of a populist ever winning again. It's over. The only thing that will change this is a popular revolt. And of course that is the one thing that the current administration is totally focussed on preventing through exemplary punishments, savage laws, consitutional innovation and so on.
I'd love to think the American people have the spirit to overturn the tyranny but I doubt it. We are all such creatures of the media and the internet now. That is the one thing that could make a difference: the populist opposition in the USA need to build a totally separate media and social media. That is the only way out of the tyranny. It's Step One. Without that, nothing else will happen. But be under no illusions will use every method to prevent that happening.

The US is a republic of states that can cheat an election any way they want its states out come it wants it to be as it seems from gerrymandering, intimidation, racism and many more tactics are being used to deign our votes from counting even when they are counted correctly.
Trump has steered clear of mentioning Dominion and Smartmatic, two voting system companies that were the subject of unfounded conspiracy theories about the election. Both companies have already filed lawsuits seeking billions of dollars in damages from some of Trump's political and media allies.
