Chemosynthesis:

Chemosynthesis:
A bridge(s) between abiotic/biotic:
I found a very substantial amount of materials to support the idea that Chemosyntisis, could really be the friend of life on Mars and other icy planets.  Either it's current life, if any, or what we might put there.   And maybe both.

And that article leads to some other interesting ones.

I guess that is a fair amount to stave off boredom for a bit.
So, some part of success is to understand the environment you are dealing with and try to graft your biochain into it.
For instace, you might like banannas, but you maybe should not count on them in the Antarctic or Arctic envionments, as the base of your hoped for success.
True, you could grow banannas on Mars, if you expend the energy for that, I think.  It's not proven yet.
I add to this saying that perhaps indeed, it would be possible to generate Hydrogen as a part of an abiotic biosource, by various means, and then to use the components of the Martian atmosphere as the other part of it.
There is a fixation of glass fairy castles being all that is needed for humans.   But, be real, although we might visit a cornfield, or a wheat field, most of the time most of use stay in our houses, most of the time, and usually most of the houses are in our cities.
What is needed is bulk organic production.  You can then have your specialty crops in very sheltered enclosures.
It seems to me that most of the shelter that Mars wishes to consider offering us are ice deposits that can be melted and nurtured for life, and maybe in the Regolith, some lava tubes.
All the rest of it we mostly have to build ourselves.
I know that I also annoy people who wish to find alien life on other worlds.  But the logic is, if there is life on Mars, Europa, and Enceladous, and maybe other places, then unless a special panspermia in our solar system, then we should suppose microbes many other places in the Universe.
To hold back a possible chance that the human race might rise to a higher cultural level, is perhaps something to consider immoral.  I havn't decided for myself yet.
Still, if Mars has critters, I would like to see that discovered.
Enough for now.
Done.

Done.

Re: Chemosynthesis:

For Void ... I found this topic sitting undeveloped, while looking for topics about Chemistry ...

You have created three topics that contain the word chemosynthesis ...

This topic would appear to cover a larger field than your other two topics... please see if you can do something with it.

For one thing, please define the term "chemosynthesis" since you appear to be the only member using it.
