Senators up for 2018 seat elections

How senators voted on Brett Kavanaugh

Vote withdrawn, but opposes nomination

Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska

Not voting

Sen. Steve Daines, R-Montana (supports nomination; attending daughter's wedding)

I believe she did this out of honor for the other senator that could not be there as that was a very important day in his own private life that he should be forced to miss...

Elections to the United States Senate will be held November 6, 2018, with 33 of the 100 seats in the Senate being contested in regular elections and two seats being contested in special elections.

The winners will serve six-year terms from January 3, 2019, to January 3, 2025.

The U.S. Senate has 51 Republicans and 49 Democrats (including two independents). There are 35 seats up in 2018 - including special elections in Minnesota and Mississippi - of which 26 are held by Democrats. That party will need to gain 2 seats to take control.

Some the seat changes could be due to the votes of those up for election...

Susan Collins announced support for Kavanaugh — causing site to fund future opponent to crash

Collins’s future opponent had surpassed $3.3 million — not an insignificant amount for a political race in a state with among the smallest populations in the country (1.3 million).

A group of liberal activists began the campaign last month to pressure Collins, a key swing vote in Kavanaugh’s nomination, to vote against President Trump’s nominee. If Collins voted no, donations would not be withdrawn from donors. If she voted yes, the pledges would fund the campaign of the Maine Democrat who wins the nomination for the Senate seat in two years.

Wow the anger is generating funds...

Any one but Collin's wow....

If this indicates the level of fallout from a single vote its going to be interesting....

Re: Senators up for 2018 seat elections

Will Iowa voters who flipped for Trump have 'buyer's remorse' in 2018?

Voters who attended, as well as the debate moderators, suggested that this year’s election feels like a chance for the district to decide if they’re happy with the Republican vision for the country.
Two-term Republican incumbent Rep. Rod Blum, a Trump supporter and member of the House Freedom Caucus, faced Democratic challenger Abby Finkenauer, a 28-year-old state representative

Re: Senators up for 2018 seat elections

Another seat that was up but it seems that Manchin faces firestorm at home following Kavanaugh vote

yet a democrat that broke ranks will be struggling still for his seat...

A stab in the back to the one that cast a deciding vote... McConnell: 'We're trying to win seats,' says GOP will still challenge Manchin

but so far Manchin's numbers are up
