13 year old wants to be first human on Mars

Well, I'm glad she's starting early, but if she wants to be first, she'd best not try for NASA. Try the private sector instead, and perhaps get in Elon's good books.

It's good that she's making it her goal, though. Far too many people give up on "impossible" childhood dreams such as being an astronaut, superhero or princess, rather than actually attempting to reify their dreams. Maybe having supportive parents who don't refer to them as "impossible" is the key? Even for becoming a princess (see: Sudan, Kingdom of tongue)...
