*Since Bill and Euler's chess game, I've been thinking it'd be cool to play a game of Monopoly with a group of us here. Might be some rigamarole, i.e. we'd have to push each others' pieces and keep tabs on all the $ flow, but it might be fun. The only thing I'd worry about is the board getting upset and then "where was everything again"?? I could keep mine here in my office; shut the door so that cat can't jump up on it. :-\
It's an involved game, takes a while, the rules are a bit of a pain, but can have -- what -- up to 6 or 8 players?
Just wondering.

... But who'll get to throw the dice?
And besides that, i've found some kind of 'loophole' in the rules, wich is totally 'legal,' but i when i use it, there's always a huge outcry of 'foul-foul!' and after much debating, most of the times people say it *is* legal, but not fair, on wich point i invariably quit, because my strategy depends on it, heehee...
Fair? Since when is scheming to attain a monopoly considered to have anything to do with fairness? Ever heard of Microsoft?

*Hi Rik. Yeah, there's definitely the issue of trust as regards telling the truth about dice rolls.
And then bickering about rules.
Hmmm....what was I thinking?
Oh well, might have been fun watching my cat attack the gameboard pieces.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not against it, but it'd prove quite complex to implement: who shuffles the cards, keep track of the bank, etc... That person would have to keep a *very* close eye to the proceedings of the game...
't would be interesting, though, to hear different countries' versions of street names... (f.i., most expensive street in Belgian/Flemish version is: Brussel, Nieuwstraat (Brussels, 'newstreet' IIRC, that is, been years since i played it...)
