http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=s … stewart]Oh my god!

*Wow...my head is reeling!  yikes

Not that I think she was innocent and no, I won't stand up for her just because she's also a woman.

Rich people in these sorts of predicaments usually get off scot-free, etc.  I'm stunned.  Guess it was a cumulative effect (Enron and etc.).

And to think she so vastly jeopardized her immense fortune for a measley $50,000 or so.  yikes

Well: Al Capone was sent away for tax evasion.

I have to agree that it is very suprising verdict. I wonder what the sentence is going to be?

Suspended sentence, Community service or jailtime ?

*Frankly speaking, I think Martha is going to spend time in prison.  I foresee her getting at least 3 years in the slammer.  I suppose we've all heard horror stories about prison (regardless of which gender they're inhabited by).

Yipes.

I can't BELIEVE she jeopardized all her hard work, effort, and her empire over a piddly $50,000 worth of stock!!!!  My god.

Must be arrogance, because the woman ain't "stupid".

I'm not a great Martha Stewart fan, by the way; I've watched some of her shows, but never bought any of her magazines or anything.

Hey, check this out...

[http://www.toreadors.com/martha/]Martha's new style...

About Martha...I just have a hard time believing her sheer arrogance throughout this whole thing...and I do feel she'll be getting what's coming to her...I say she'll get 24-30 months in the pen, plus scads of community service, etc.

*I've seen that site you linked to, before.  smile  What the heck...I'm a fan of the old TV show "Dark Shadows" and all that...

Stewart's company is still worth $180 million (debt-free).

It's just unbelievable, all the way around.  What's $50,000 to Stewart?  Nothing.  And she brought all this upon herself, because of those silly ImClone stocks.

Ay carrumba!!
