Its called Plaid, pretty much a long piece of cloth that is wrapped around you and tied of by the broach. The Kilt is just a smaller piece of plaid. Wallace must have been a good fighter, I liked the movie, too, somehow reminded me of the peasant revolts in Hungary in the early 16th century that were also put down most brutally by Szapolyai, prince of Transsylvania (successor of Dracula)
