I was just wondering if you guys thought that this company could be the one that has the most potential to develop like AM&M from the HobbySpace Rocket company article.

It says they own the patent to the two stage rocket developed by the author.

Re: Is Kistler Aerospace AM&M from HobbySpace?

The AM&M guys were crazy if they think they can so anything with such a small payload. At least the Kistler has a more reasonable figure.

Was this article discussed on this forum before? I would love to see what people thought of it.

Re: Is Kistler Aerospace AM&M from HobbySpace?

Heatedly

Bascially coming down to the fact that constructing anything in orbit with such small payloads was impractical, and that the AM&M puny rocket just couldn't carry enough payload.

Seems to me like it worked out fine in the story. Do you have a link to this thread?

So, what does Kistler Aerospace estimate their cost per kg to LEO will be? And how reusable will the vehicle be? And what are the chances anyone will take them seriously for resupplying ISS?

Re: Is Kistler Aerospace AM&M from HobbySpace?

Kistler has the N-1's curse on it from using those NK-33/43 engines--just like SLC-6

Give it up--its jinxed.
