I have designed an earring that symbolizes the opposition of Earth and Mars. In accordance with ProtoMartian aesthetic sensibilities, two of the dimensions of that earring are in Golden Ratio. See http://www.geocities.com/scott956282743 … ibit13.htm

What kind of gem do you want to use for the sun? Should the chain holding the sun be silver gold or something else. I think mars should be a ruby, earth should be a blue gem and the space between earth and mars should be black or space or brown for asteroids. Any thoughts?

Martian jewelry will often be made of iron. A few rubys would make a nice adornment.

You need to look more at how symbols evolve into language.
A thousand years from now when that symbol is carved into a rock by the people who have begun using it as their language, will it mean freedom? And if drawn inverted slavery?
Simply based on the direction in which the traveler went either from Earth to Mars or from Mars to Earth?
