*I remember his "Moonscape" being taken aboard Columbia. It was a black and white sketch of what he thought Earth would look like from the Moon.
His diary is being published; consisting of 2 notebooks, was found in an attic in 2003, and have been passed to his sister, Chava Pressburger.
He was 13 when he began the diary, was 14 when transported to a transit camp and was gassed to death at 16.
He wrote many essays, poems and 2 science-fiction novels. He also drew many illustrations for his works.
While incarcerated at the Terezin camp, he edited, wrote and illustrated 800 pages of a science magazine that was distributed to other prisoners.
Czech astronomers have named an asteroid in his honor and a postage stamp has been issued featuring "Moonscape."
