When NASA returns astronauts to the Moon, the mission will be measured kilometers, not miles.

The agency has decided to use metric units for all operations on the lunar surface, according to a statement released today.

Makes sense we will be relying on or partners heavily for the construct of items for the base. This will lead to less chance for errors and confusion when communicating measurements. Of which we already lost one mission due to someone using Imperial units of measurement ans not converting correctly to metric. When everyone else was on metric.

The lunar architecture may well be metric, but NASA can't decide if the Constellation system that put it there is or isn't. So as usual they quote both imperial and metric units lol.
