Re: Mercury transit of Sol (rare event)

Mercury to transit Sun on November 8

Is a rare event.  Total duration will be just under 5 hours.  Will need a solar 'scope (or telescope with solar filter accessory) with magnification of 30 at least ... or can project image onto a screen (I have a solar screen attachment to my 'scope).

This will be the 2nd of only 14 Mercury transits of Sol in the 21st century.
