Maybe there's some way to store the energy that is collected on the moon in batteries and then beam it to Earth. That would solve the problem of the day night cycle interfering with the generation of power on the Moon.

The idea is sound, but batteries are heavy and would be too costly to ship from earth. If you could build batteries from raw materials on the moon, you'd be in business.
