Take a look at this: it has an 'unsubscribe' link, which seems 'legit'...

Actually, I found out the other day why they do this. Google's ranking algorithm weights links from popular bulletin boards particularly highly, and the googlebot visits the boards often. It is really quite a complement to be spammed so much

I'm not sure why the steve thread was locke. THis was going to be my reply:
I was wondering why I hadn’t seen Steve on TV lately. I found out he died while I was watching the Glen beck show. I thought I hadn’t seen him on TV because of him letting his kid get to close to a crocodile. I didn’t know was filming a movie about Natures most dangerous animals. I hope this was his choice and not a stunt he need to do to make up for any damage the kid and crocodile situation might of done to his image. Anyway I enjoyed Steve’s show. Too bad he is gone. He is by far the most respected conservationist in my eyes.
Move it if you can. YOu can keep the thread locked though if you desire.

Another wierd thing that happens when you click on a link is the login cookie seems to be reset and you are logged out of the data base.

I can still access both their profiles, although I have deleted all the messages they posted. I don't get logged out or anything when I do that. I'm using Firefox v1.0.7.
