Do you think that the return to the Moon should be one way to ensure brute force colonization?

Why are divorces so expensive? Because they're worth it.
But the Moon isn't. It's not good colonization real estate. Research, mining, bases, testing. But not cities.
Build a man a fire and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life.

I voted for no it is crazy because there were no sensible choices for the pole. Also I know srmeaney’s colonization plans tend to be a little bit grand to say the least.

I have noticed a certain adversion to building megacities beneath the surface of the Moon!
Considering we can build a city under the surface of the Moon to take ten million people for what it will cost to build a Babylon 5 space Habitat capable of Sustaining a Million people in the same amount of time (100 years),
Try not to argue by making unsubstantiated assertions.
I can only wonder what your glorious empire of space is going to be like.
You will be a slave deep in one of my many lunar mines and the empire will never falter. Mahahaha
Considering we are at 0.001% of where we need to be in Space industry world wide, I dont see space being for anyone other than flag waving idiots who equate scientific achievement to their proximity to god.
Meaningless drivel but I will address it none the less. When you say where we need to be the question arises for what and whom will this appeal to. It is interesting that you talk about glory in one sentence and use the word flag waving idiot in another. Try to be a little consistent. Shall we all bow down and worship your temples on the moon that bankrupt the world all in the name of glory. Your last statement about people equating scientific achievement to their proximity to god is offensive as it seems to declare a large group of people to have arrogance on the level of NAZI Germany and there is a question of who it applies to.
However, parallels can be drawn between the abilities of a god and the abilities of a significantly advanced race. It was Arthur C. Clark who said, “Any sufficiently advanced technology will appear like magic.”. This idea was perpetuated in some star track episodes where the people from the enterprise appeared godlike to less advanced civilizations. So try to spout off a little less from the mouth and maybe once you get your rabies shots you’ll have the guts to post your real name. lol

Well, I’d rather respond to at least an identifiable pseudo name then just guest. For some reason I like to have some idea who I am talking to.

You can safely assume most recent guest posts are from one and the same troll. Most of his flamebait drivel and/or thinly disguised spam gets deleted pretty fast.
I assume some stuff stays up because New Mars feels so empty w/o a troll...
