*Peak is Dec. 13 & 14. Unfortunately the Moon will be full on those nights. Spaceweather.com is hosting a link to meteor radar (live audio); if you can't see the Geminids you'll be able to hear them.
A bit of good news, however, for visual observers:
There is, however, one hour when the shower can be seen in full force.
Between about 5 AM and dawn (local time) on Dec. 13th, the Moon will be below the horizon, briefly leaving the sky dark for Geminid meteors. If you're awake and watching, you might see dozens of shooting stars.
Not sure I'll be one of those observers; am trying to shake a nasty cold and don't want to risk a relapse. :-\
Too bad about the full Moon. Otherwise it seems this will be a gangbuster shower.
