Re: Occultations of Pleiades by Luna: 2006

Article

*There'll be 13 occultations of the Pleiades by the Moon in 2006.  The first will occur in January.  Article includes time/location table.

I'm hoping to catch at least one of them.  Unfortunately it seems major occultation events are either not seen in my area or occur at some ungodly time like 1:53 a.m. or clouds decide to make an appearance.  neutral

Enjoy, and good luck.  I'd definitely love to see an occultation of the Pleiades by the Moon.

And I like the descriptive of the Pleiades by Tennyson which the article quotes:  That they (the brightest stars in the cluster) are like "fireflies tangled in a silver braid."  Nice.
