I'll have to get out of town to see the conjunction; too many housetops and trees surround our house.  And hopefully the mountain range to the W-NW won't obstruct my view.  Gemini is already rather low in the sky at twilight.

What is it?

*This conjunction is nearing an end.  Venus and Mercury still appear close together, but Saturn will soon vanish in Sol's glare.

I managed to see this event two nights ago, in the foothills of the mtn range to our east.  Very nice.  Saturn is so low now, though, I doubt I'll get to see it again (too many mtn ranges in that direction).

*Saturn has slipped away from evening viewing.  Luna -- as a slender crescent -- will be near Venus and Mercury tonight. 

Jupiter is also not far away.  A quadruple treat.

Note Mercury and Venus are nearby.  Regulus and Spica in the vicinity...what a combination.  Lots of nice bright celestials to enjoy.  :up:

The half-Moon is gliding by Jupiter tonight. To see them pleasingly close together, step outside at sunset and look southwest. They pop into view even before the sky grows completely dark.

Our monsoon season is beginning to stir.  Maybe less clouds this evening; if so, I'll be out.
