Re: Name The Emoticon Band

*You know:  :band:

Carrying this over from the birthday thread:

BTW, is that the same band playing a song on every birthday? Those guys sure are party-animals...

[Hmmm. Yep, Rik. I'm pretty sure it's the same band again.  :;):  ]

Rik, Shaun:  It's time we named the band, isn't it?

I mean, they're at our disposal 24/7/365.  They don't even ask for tips.  What troopers they are!  Isn't it time we gave them a bit of respect by giving them a name?

My suggestion:  Babaloo & The Musical Heads.  big_smile

(Babaloo is the drummer, of course...)

Re: Name The Emoticon Band

well... For me that's an easy one!

The Birthday Party!  big_smile

That's my favourite band, former band of Nick Cave, way back in the early 80's, when he was pretty wild on stage. (never saw them, boohoo...)

Re: Name The Emoticon Band

roll

Um...well, The Band does play other gigs here too, you know.

The band might get miffed at your seeming to type-cast them as a birthday band only.

They're at the ready and playing their little hearts out whenever something particularly exciting happens regarding a mission or a discovery, or even for a matter of personal interest.

A bit more recognition please.  Teehee.

How about "Heavy Lift and the Boosters"?   cool    big_smile

*I like it!  :band:

Hey--that wasn't me.  The band just began playing spontaneously.   :;):

"Terry Former and the Colonists"

Terry Former...LOL!  Nice play on a word, teehee.

(I didn't realize you'd posted here twice today; I was going to respond to your first message, which I thought was your only reply.  Nice surprise to see that 2nd suggestion)

Distant runners-up: Lo-G and the Gang or Ecliptic.

How about "The WalMart Allstars"? They remind me of those damn smiley-face "Falling Prices" signs they have all over the stores.

*Trebuchet, you gave me a chuckle at this ungodly hour of 4:20 a.m. (still in a half zombie-like state).

One of Cobra's suggestions:

Lo-G and the Gang

That was a runner-up?  Great suggestion.

I've got a new one (The Band doesn't like my first):

Ares & The Zubrinettes

*Hi Rik:  I did the same with "Terry Former"...it took a second or two, then the light bulb switched on, ha ha.

M. Pakt and the Craters is really good.

The Beagles?  Well, there's only 3 in our band...4 originally in that other similar-sounding band and now only 2 remaining.  And our drummer has no nose...
