Not much in the article, but they're talking about computermodels...

It's being featured on Slashdot http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl? … tid=1]here

so there might pop up some more details there..

Re: NASA plan to heat up Mars? - Guardian article

Hmmm... Slashdotters point to original article from NASA that has the date feb 2001 on it  sad

But someone pointed out this nice article from http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn6973]New Scientist that says there's proof of the right elements to make greenhouse gasses from the soil of Mars...

Re: NASA plan to heat up Mars? - Guardian article

How to find the e-mail of Margarita Marinova? Regarding her name she should be bulgarian as I am... I`d want to discuss with her some items about establishing MarsSociety Chapter in Bulgaria...

Previously thanx!

Understanding of how to warm Mars up and how sensitive it is to induced changes can be studied here on Earth before attempting to change Mars.

Climate: The Sensitivity Question

The measurement, called climate sensitivity, indicates how surface temperatures respond depending on how much greenhouse gas is pumped into the atmosphere by humans. The usual measurement baseline is a doubling of CO2.

Maybe NASA should concentrate on heating its own space agenda up first, then maybe the planets.
Getting off the ground first, seems a good first step in any planet heating ideas. smile

Agreed. Although, I'm sure they would like to get there as much as we would. I highly doubt it is their fault that not much interest or funding is being generated for them.
