OK, I posted this somewere else already, but http://druantia.sourceforge.net/]Druantia, while still in its infancy,
"... also has a set of climate modelling algorithms available that will be used on a dedicated 4-way server to simulate climate on a planetary scale. The goal is to be as scientificaly accurate as possible. This would include climate modeling and possibly research on terraforming later."
So, Linux experts into terraforming, fire up your computers and start coding!

This is a top quality project. I may study their code some day.

John Creighton,
Great project, great idea.
If you ever get it working well i would love to enter a few scenarios for Venus to see what happens.
This virtual Teraforming might open up an entire new way of thinking about teraforming.
The universe isn't being pushed apart faster.
It is being pulled faster towards the clumpy edge.

It is not my idea but I am interested in terreforming and a while back I tried to model the absorption of sunlight. What the software means is mars will be brought to life for many people around the world. It will be a world we can see explore. People will see with there own eyes what it looks like now and what it would be like to visit a terreformed mars.
