Re: Image Tag

Okay let?s try this agin. Last time I didn?t vote because I thought I?d wait to see how well this page worked with a dial-up connection. However, after second thoughts, I vote yes because, the discussion forum already uses a lot of images already and I really don?t think disabling the image tag is really going to make much of a speed difference. However, if even a small minority find that the image tag slows down this forum to much then it should stay disabled. The reason is these forums should have as wide as an audience as possible.

Re: Image Tag

I think it would be better to leave images enabled since those people who are slowed down by them can shut them off from the control panel.

Re: Image Tag

OK, this makes sense. I have enabled posting of images (but disabled Flash movie posting because they can be #### annoying) and limited the number to 10 images per post. Feel free to try this out.

Re: Image Tag

Well, let's test it, shall we? smile

View (northwest to southeast) from the Oerberus region (with crater in front) to the Apollinaris Patera (vulcano at the horizon)). Concept view of Mars billions of years ago.

How about enabling the HTML tag too? (That way big images can be sized down and stuff.)

Re: Image Tag

Never mind the technicalities! What an absolutely heart-wrenchingly beautiful picture of our next planetary home!!!
I don't know what it is about Mars portrayed in this form, but it just gets to me in a way I find very difficult to put into words. It must be some sort of obsession because I can't fathom why everybody in the world doesn't feel the same way about it!
Sorry to have changed the subject!                tongue
