Re: Rovers re. Terraformation - Any useful info from Rovers?

I was just wondering if the Mars Rovers have returned any information relevant to the terraforming question.

Re: Rovers re. Terraformation - Any useful info from Rovers?

Hi, Kagazoid.

That's a pretty broad question...

So, I'd say yes!  big_smile

There's a better understanding of composition of the soil, for starters, so In situ recources production plans can profit from that, also, of course biologists can have a better idea which kind of organisms might survive or adapt to the environment etc...

Can you be a bit more specific with what you mean? A lot of people have different ideas about terraforming, so it's not always easy...

There has also been several announcements of methane, ammonia and of other items that would tend to prove that a thin atmosphere is possible.
